This Year's Model Updates:
Optional color-coordinated fender flares are available on the SR5. An AM/FM/cassette/CD is now available on base models, and is standard on SR5 and Limited models. Daytime running lights are now included with the antilock brake package.
Pros:
- Great crash-test scores, roomy interior, truck-tough underpinnings, power-down hatch glass, standard VSC with traction control, brake assist system.
Cons:
- Hard to climb in and out of, dated dashboard design, weak V6 engine, truck-like ride quality and handling.

CLUTCH SCREECHES:TOYOTA CANT FIX IT - 2000 Toyota 4Runner
By wellesley80 - November 18 - 10:00 amI bought my 4Runner over other SUVs for Toyota quality. What a mistake. Ive driven clutch vehiches for 27 years and never had a problem till this one. The clutch screeches. The dealer has replaced the clutch 4 TIMES. Last time the factory representative told me the dealer had installed it incorrectly. Now, 6 months later, its screeching again. Dont buy this SUV. This is my last Toyota.
