  • 2015 Subaru Forester Premium - 2015 Subaru Forester

I have had my for a little over a week. Its been great so far. It is my first SUV and I have really enjoyed the experience. I am not a car buff, just an average driver, but here is my input. Leg room is best in its class by far. Lumbar support and driver seat make a very comfortable ride. Plenty of room to carry my bike when the back seats are folded. Gas mileage is pretty good and I am getting just below about the 27 average except when I am stuck in traffic. This has been the quietest vehicle I have ever owned, which was a pleasant surprise since some reviews of the 2014 model listed this as an issue. No issues in 8 days, but I do not expect any on such a new car.

Just bought my new 2015 Subaru Forester. Price was good, inside room was great - head and leg room. Only had it 2 weeks, so still new to it but a few improvements / upgrades are needed

  • Best New Car Purchase Decision Ive Ever Made - 2015 Subaru Forester
    By -

This is the fifth new car I have bought for my family or myself, and I am very happy with my decision. I am consistently getter better than predicted gas mileage for my daily commute. My kids love the back seat room (I have 3 so all the seats are full when the family travels). They always want to take "Daddys Car" instead of the minivan! The features for the money paid are an excellent value (I have the 2.5i Premium with MT, which comes standard with the All Weather Package). Although I am currently leasing the car, I am very seriously considering converting to a purchase, since I dont think Ill want to give the car up when my lease is over.

  • Amazed by the technology! - 2015 Subaru Forester

Living in Reno, I do a lot of driving in the Sierra and snow. You couldnt spin this car out if you tried. The AWD has always been amazing in Subarus. It blows away my 2010 Rav4, which I have since gotten rid of. Beyond that, I couldnt believe how much technology they have put into the lower end models like mine. The cruise control automatically slows down to a safe distance if a car turns into your lane in front of you. Warns if you are leaving the lane. Knee airbags. Plenty of clearance for deep snow. Elongated moonroof. Spacious. MPG computers a lot like my Prius. Excellent Bluetooth features. No blind spots. Easily the safest car Ive ever driven.

  • So close to great but ride spoils it. - 2015 Subaru Forester

Just purchased a 2015 Forester Touring 2.5 without NAV or Eyesight. Im not totally convinced I made the right decision. The car feels solid, accelerates more than adequately for my driving style, love the CVT (always has torque on tap when you want it), fuel economy so far is amazing (going by trip computer), Harmon Kardon stereo is excellent, HID headlights light up the road. So why the doubts? First the ride is hobby horse rocky on poor roads. There was a section of I-5 where I thought the vehicle had a mechanical problem it was rocking so much. Second, the Bluetooth phone implementation is unacceptable in a 2015 car. I hope I get used to the ride but Im not optimistic.

  • I love the turbo! - 2015 Subaru Forester

I bought this car after much debate on what to buy to replace my very solid 13 Honda Fit. I purchased the Forester for $3500 under invoice and 1.9% financing. I have owned 8 other Subarus in the past 25 years and have always had positive experiences. The engine and transmission is really what sets this apart from the competition. The engine really has no lag and pulls strong through the rev range. Because I travel to 8000ft+ several days a week, the turbo really makes the drive easy. I look forward to some spirited driving after the first 1000 miles, should be a blast!

Anticipated buying a Rav4 since I am Toyota guy. My wife drives a 2011 Forester so I was not considering another Forester. I was so disappointed with the Rav4 and the CRV still has visibility issues ( and no BSM), I decided to give Subaru another look. What a difference between the 2011 and the new Forester. Subaru engineers improved almost everything except visibility which is still terrific even though it is a larger vehicle. The one thing that did not improve is ride quality. The new model rides more like a SUV than the 2011 but has better seats and a fairly quiet cabin. Gas mileage agrees to sticker which is terrific. We have had no issues with either of our Foresters.

  • Traction Concerns - 2015 Subaru Forester
    By -

Trading in a 2011 Suby Legacy for a 2015 Forester, we expected the same sort of traction & stability on snowy and icy roads. The Legacy was far superior on winter highway trips around the lake from Wisconsin to Michigan, and Id love to know the reason why. The Forester back end seems to want to slide out even when traveling on a highway in a straight line at modest speeds. Yes the roads were slick, but we shouldnt be the vehicle in the slow lane holding up traffic while being passed on the left by Civics and Camrys. Checking the tires next, but first Winter impressions were not good.

  • Bad inside - 2015 Subaru Forester

This is what I dont like inside my Subaru Forester 2015. I have it 2weeks . The two vanity mirrors has no lights. The seats are to small and hard.Console is to small and set to far back between the seats.Passenger seat up to high no adjustment to bring it down.Buttons on passenger door dont light up and back doors to.Trunk light not bright enough.Dash is rough hard to wipe clean.Front windshield not top tinted. When sun comes in you cant see out.Car locks dont lock by themselves you have to lock doors. Glove box has no light.when you get eyesight it takes away the eye glass holder.screens are to small. Back up camera should beep. More to follow next week.Good luck if you buy this car.

  • Dangerous on snowy roads - 2015 Subaru Forester
    By -

This is my second Subaru, bought the 2015 because my older one was very good in the snow. The 2015 feels like a death trap. The least little bit of snow on the roads and the car slides all over the road leaving no control even at 30 miles and hour. The car isnt safe at all in the winter. Seems Subaru isnt on top of the game when it comes to safety when it comes to the North East winters. Dont feel I should have to buy new tires for a new car just to keep from crashing. Shame on Subaru.
