This Year's Model Updates:

New last year, the Vue gets only minor changes for 2003. V6 models are now available with front-wheel drive, while a new options package bundles together heated leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A new optional audio system includes a subwoofer, 180-watt amplifier and six door-mounted speakers.

Pros:
  • Large doors ease entry/exit, extensive choice of drivetrains, spacious cabin, excellent crash test scores.
Cons:
  • Bland interior, low-grade plastics, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

I live in New England and the VUE has been totally reliable and excellent in the inclement weather. Its extremely versatile and has been backed flawlessly by the dealer. I would strongly recommend looking into the VUE if an individual is looking for a maderate sized SUV or a station wagon.

I really enjoyed driving this truck. The only bad thing I would say is that when I was going 70 mph on the highway and had to apply the brakes, the steering wheel shook uncontrollably. If you can overcome that, I thought it was a great vehicle. I was able to sit in the back seat with the front seat down, to elevate my legs, due to pregancy swelling!

2000 V-6 FWD VUE. Love it! Dealer got the exact one I wanted. Didn’t charge for the Décor Package (Scotch-guarding, clear coat protection on the paint, pin- striping, and window-tinting). Even took out the $80 floor mats. Wal-Mart sells a set that match the interior for $20. Looked at all of Edmund’s reviews and the VUE was the best for the money. Power steering is unique (electric assisted) but nothing I can’t get used to. The VUE handles well and is very responsive with the V-6. 5-speed automatic is the smoothest shifting transmission I’ve driven. I’ve read all the reviews on the VUE and been looking out for problems others have had but so far no problems.

Overall I really enjoy the rugged appearance of the Vue. It is fun to drive, but I cant wait to buy the Vue Red Line. My younger children enjoy the DVD system. I really like it because its just the right size, and can hold pretty much whatever you throw into it. I have peace of mind with its optional head curtain airbags, and its "Good" crash test raiting by the IIHS.

  • Quality for the price. - 2003 Saturn VUE

For the money, rides great, ecomony is good and looks like the best. My wife has a back that acts up and its hard for her to find a seat thats comfortable. The Vue fits the bill. Not only is the seat just right, the seating is more than ample in both the front and rear. Im over 6 and was surprised at how comfortable I was in the front seats.

  • I love my VUE - 2003 Saturn VUE

My VUE is my second Saturn. I chose the V6 for its additional power without giving up fuel economy- 20 city 26 highway. I wanted a larger vehicle because I now have a bad back, and the seat on the VUE adjusts to the perfect height to minimize the strain on my lower back. Also it is the perfect size for me and not too huge, like a Suburban or something. It handles very well for an SUV and I love it. Way to go Saturn and thank you for my VUE!

  • Best small SUV out there - 2003 Saturn VUE

This SUV has something for everyone. Its the perfect all weather vehicle. Heats up so fast in winter (get the heated seats too!) and a/c chills it fast in summer. Excellent for light towing and camping. Plenty of cargo space (get a roof rack..cheap). Sound system is excellent, fit and finish, ride quality all terrific after 20K +. Great in snow with AWD, and the mileage is still pretty good (20-26 MPG). The paint quaility is worth mentioning, and the polymer body panels have saved it more than once from dings and scratches. Ive recommended to MANY people. Im a Saturn convert.

My wife was looking for a SUV for the purpose of driving in the winter. We tryed a Honda, Vue, and a subura forester. We checked all the spects on the three vech. and test driven each one. The honda was a great vech., but she dicided on the Vue because of the power. She has a hevey foot for a 60 year old. We didnt like paying $2000 for leather on the Honda. The only draw back on the Vue was the noise of the V- 6. She liked the steering. We read that there was a prolem with it that we didnt find.
