Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

DRIVE IT & SEE - 2003 Nissan Murano
By STEVE,E - April 19 - 2:00 amI HAVE READ REVIEWS FROM CAR OWNERS & SUV OWNERS & THEY WANT TO CHANGE THIS OR THAT. THEN BUY A CAR OR SUV! THIS IS A CROSSOVER VEHICLE. NISSAN HAS HIT THE MARK. PRICE A PROBLEM ? BUY SOMETHING ELSE. REGUARDLESS OF WHAT REVIEWERS SAY, THIS IS A KNOCKOFF OF THE INFINITY X35 FOR EIGHT GRAND LESS.

Love Murano after 1 week - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Ben In Al - April 19 - 2:00 amI recently purchased the Murano for my wife and we love it. The drive is great and the interior is spacious. The ride is smooth. I looked seriously at the Lexus RX300, but they were changing the body style and trying to get rid of them. The Lexus did not have the controls on the sterring wheel. I liked the fact that Lexus has a longer warranty.

Nissan Murano is best on the road - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Farkel - April 19 - 2:00 amI bought my Murano in January. Since then Ive found the vehicle absolutely fun to drive. Everyone who sees the car does a double take because of its exceptionally unique design. I took in on two 3 hour trips (about 500 miles each)and checked the gas mileage after each trip and also checked the city mieage. So far Im beating the estimated EPA mileage on the sticker. On trips Im getting 26 MPG highway (verus 24 from EPA) and in city driving Im doing 22 MPG (verus 20 EPA). Nissan has a winner with this vehicle.

After sales service - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Chic - April 14 - 10:00 amCmon Nissan I thought by now you could design window seals that dont squeak. You also need to offer a 4 year warranty and shake your dealerships into providing better service. You designed a great vehicle lets get the squeaks out and dont lose face by providing lowsy after sales service.

Excellent SUV and performance - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Eddie abu7alab - April 14 - 10:00 amLike the Rock... powerful engine.. wonderful transmission... and the most and stiff Steering wheel that give you the feeling of the sports cars, beleive me the stiff steering wheel is much more better than the light one much more better to handle.

worst car i ever had - 2004 Nissan Murano
By angietornado - April 13 - 8:08 pmthe quality of this car is horrible... evrything detaches, everything is glued even the piece over ur entry lock on the door, the visor on the passager goes bad, rusted by window area, the gas tank door like every other reviews goes bad so broke the lock because it will leave me stock at the gas station not knowing what to do to open it, now am facing major expeses to fix the whole front wheels breaking sistem including rotors and probably already damage the calipers.... again like many other reviews my motor mounts had to be replaced and cost me about 1000 dollars to fix, am just so ready to trade it but i feel really bad for the next person that would buy this thing called suv.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY MURANO - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Roxie - April 3 - 3:03 amIve owned this vehicle for 9 months now and I love it as much as I did when I first bought it. Love the updated body styling, the comfortable interior, the Bose stereo, the power and handling, and my newest passion is the enjoyment I get driving this in the snow. The AWD provides awesome traction and handling.

Love My Murano! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By piper - April 2 - 5:03 amI owned an XTerra previously and traded it in due to fuel mileage. I love the reliability of Nissan and still wanted AWD for Colorado winters. The Murano was a perfect fit! Should have bought one in the first place! Rides amazing (like a luxury car) and so much room in the back seat for my teenage son! Its so quiet also. Very fun to drive. Gas mileage is great for an SUV! We are getting around 26-30 on the hwy compared to 17 in my XTerra! Love it!

Nice car, ergonomic and electronic issue - 2006 Nissan Murano
By mmagliaro - April 2 - 4:36 amCant update my other review. Need to add more here. First, I meant ergonOMic issues in the other review. Second: Beware the CD player. It crapped out and luckily I have a warranty or it would cost over $600 to get it replaced. These are apparently a notorious weak point in many Nissans. In fact, it appears to be so widespread that I think they owe customers a free replacement, but good luck with that.
