Pros:
  • Sharp handling, strong standard engine, comfortable and practical interior.

  • Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat.

  • Great Car - 2005 Nissan Murano

When I decided I wanted to buy an SUV I was stuck beween the Pilot and Murano. I decided to buy the murano because of both the gas milage and the standard features. The murano has tons of standard features that most other SUV do not offer in their base model. Such as alloy wheels and the computer system, dual air, wrapped steering wheel and over sized 18" tires. I love the way it drives, I feel like I am back in my old Altima. Its a SUV with class! I feel like I am driving a very expensive vehicle not a base model Nissan. The CVT transmission drives great, just wish it gave a little more power!

  • Great SUV, rear vision problem found - 2005 Nissan Murano

Great SUV and good consumer report rating. Had a Pathfinder but this SUV has all I want at a much lower price. Good HP and fun to drive. Some people say the rear visibility is poor; I put those small mirrors (buy at auto stores) on the outside mirrors and if you take out the rear headrests you will see fine ( kids dont try this at home (<" )

  • life after maximas - 2005 Nissan Murano

I actually wanted another Maxima, I had previously owned four. However getting older I could no longer enter and exit the Maxie in comfort. The Murano fit the bill perfectly. Nissan quality, comfort and reliability. This car is a pleasure to drive and I get stares wherever I go. I think they do not know what kind of car it is.

  • Murano SL - 2005 Nissan Murano

The car is very attractive in exterior appearance and the interior is roomy and also very attractive. I was suprised that it has a similar feel to a much more expensive vehicle with a feeling of superior performance and quality. I believe that the quality and styling for the price are the best on the market for any vehicle category.

  • Some Improvements needed - 2005 Nissan Murano

Nissan, Make a stick shift please. Metal shave trim got to go, scratch easily. Cup holders on the back should be place higher up. Miles per gallon 18 average which I think is way below the 22 mpg advertised. Dashboard electronic display its not easy to see. Best value SUV for the money. I got mine for $26,500.

  • Love It! - 2005 Nissan Murano
    By -

I just picked up my new 2005 Murano 3 days ago. After owning 2 Lexus RX 300s, I was hoping I wouldnt be disappointed. I had nothing to worry about! This one is a gem. Not only do I find the car pleasing to the eye, it has a luxurious feel inside and out. As compared to my Lexus, it has even more "toys" and so far I am getting slightly better gas mileage (19mpg...all city driving so far). Id highly encourage anyone shopping for this size SUV to test drive a Murano. Fot the price, I dont think you can beat it.

  • Best Value for Crossover SUV - 2005 Nissan Murano

Studied this purchase for several years, glad we chose it over the FX35 or MDX, even the ugly RX330. Better rear seat room, better value with identical equipment. Less than one month old, but have no compliants. Plan to use it as a tow vehicle for a small tent (pop up) trailer. Wont exceed 2,500 pounds, so well within the 3,500 rating. Well controled body motions and steering feel, love the distictive looks. Navigation system and back-up camera pure genius, not to mention wildly entertaining for the neighbors. Since we dont have kids, no need for a third seat. Much happier with generous rear seat room and abundant storage under the rear load floor.

  • A GREAT Car...stylish and FUN! - 2005 Nissan Murano
    By -

I had been in love with the Murano since it was first introduced, but was looking at the Lexus when I ran across this pre-owned one. Its my first Nissan (Ive always had Hondas, Mazdas, & Toyotas), and Im thoroughly impressed. With all the SUVs on the market, the Murano still stands out. My parents have the Lexus RX330, and the Murano actually is roomier. Even the back seats are comfortable for passengers, and Nissan included features I thought were frivolous and silly, like the "proximity key", that Ive really come to rely on and love. Like buying an Apple computer...the company gave me more than I needed, and made the driving experience much more than I expected. Im delighted.

I fell in love with the murano when I sure them being driven on the street. The murano has such a slick style to it. I love driving my car and just being in it. The interior is subtle and comfortable. My merlot nissan murano is just a gorgeous car. Also the murano is not a gas guzzler.

  • Integrity Of 2005 Nissan Murano is JUNK!!! - 2005 Nissan Murano
    By -

I bought our 2005 Murano new July 2005 and have had nothing but problems. The drivers visor drop into your face, the driver’s seat is twisted when it goes up or down, the phone charger in the dash has been repaired 4 times to recall and still falls out of the dash, upholstery on the inside of the driver’s seat at the site of stitching split and has continued to tear and pull away from the fabric leaving a tear in my leather seat! The interior integrity of the vehicle is very BAD! We have replaced 2 alternators and two batteries between 11/2/2012 and 7/9/2013.
