The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

  This car is solid! Not only are its looks spectacular, the feel of the vehicle on the road is nothing less than exceptional. No rock, no roll on the turns or the stops...a solid pick up and solid braking makes the performance sportscar-like and smoothly so! I love this car, and its that wonderful retro copper color!!!! Nothing finer!

  Vehicle is very peppy and fun to drive. The car has a wide wheelbase and relatively low center of gravity giving it very good turning stability. With 4 huge tires and AWD, it should go through snow with no trouble. Interior comfort level is high. Adequate but not great storage room in back. Very nice to have a sunroof. Only wish is that the car came with a 5 speed manual transmission.

  i am 40 years old and have had numerous cars in my life, and for the first time after buying my Murano, my eyes dont continually look around at other cars. i am totally satisfied with this car.

  A longtime BMW owner, this is my first SUV type vehicle. I couldnt be happier with the performance of my Murano. It rides great and performs even better. I wouldnt trade for anything else. Im delighted. P.S. The dealer is much more customer friendly than I ever experienced at BMW.

  This vehicle is awesome! The comfort, spacious interior with alot of leg room. Love all the extras, ie; brake pedal that moves up, mirrors & seats programmed to individual keys. My 19 yr old even loves to drive this car!

  This car is a wonderful car. Compaired to all the other cars in its class, the Murano has all the added features to a car in its standard model that one could get if they were to upgrade another car, S.U.V. or truck. The standard features on this car is more than enough for me. However if you would like to really be spoiled than you could spend the extra money and really live it up. The handling of this car is just as great. As well as the pick up this vehicle delivers. All in all, the Murano is a very nice car and I have no regrets about buying one.

  This is a very good SUV. Comfortable, roomy, and economical (21.8 mpg average). I have had no mechanical or quality problems.

  Cant tell if its a car or an SUV. Its whatever you want it to be. Great zip and handling on the road, but you can still climb a curb if you have to.
