Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

flexible - 2004 Nissan Murano
By onarum - March 15 - 2:00 amVery flexible fun to drive, great handling, quiet. Not sure why editors think the ride is harsh. Its just tight, but not uncomfortable at all. Gas mileage on first tank hovering around 21mpg. Interior lighting is poorly designed; both dashlight britness too high and coutesy lights lack britness and footwell illumination.

dream - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Drruth12 - March 8 - 2:00 amThis car rides like a dream , I love everything about it. The only problem Ive had was with the bose system, my dealer replaced it, and the new one has the same problem. Talking to friends and clients, I find that they have the same problem.

Murano tops Lexus - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Phil Cunningham - March 4 - 10:00 amWeve owned our Murano now for 1 month and enjoy it every time one or both take it for a drive. The CVT is quiet, powerful, and it does not give you the usual sensation of acceleration. With dual air temp controls, my wife can keep her side warm while I can keep mine cool. I highly recommend the undercoat package and the rock guard clearcoat for the front of the vehicle. The Murano looks like the Lexus, except with better lines and the muffler does not stick out the back.

Why doesnt Nissan advertise this SUV - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Toledosfinest - March 4 - 10:00 amSo far, best vehicle I have owned. I traded in my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and have been pleasantly surprised. My White SE AWD is the best looking vehicle on the road. I get complements every day. Yes the ride is FIRM, but livable. The BOSE is the best. Gas milage for the 2000 miles I have driven has been around 18 city, 21 hwy, and the transmission is smooth.

Greatest Crossover Value for Under 35K - 2003 Nissan Murano
By boogaboo - February 18 - 2:00 amAfter searching hi and lo for a replacement for the Mazda Tribute, and after lookind at RX300, Acura MDX, Honda Pilot, and Toyota Highlander, the natural choice was the Missan Murano in the SL trim with AWD, the Premium Package, the Leather Package, Sunroof, and the Cold Package. This loaded configuaration was cheaper than the loaded MDX, almost as good a buy as the Honda Pilot, and overall a much better ride than all the aforementioned. The quality of the Nissan build was there and the style of the Murano will take you easily into the next 4 years. Dollar for dollar, look for look, performance for performance, there is no better crossover SUV.
