Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

The Rocket - 2003 Nissan Murano
By R3Prod - August 7 - 10:00 amVery nice. Runs like a champ and makes us feel like were traveling through space. Handles well in the city. A true gem in the hodge-podge world of SUVs. Wife really likes it.

Perfect vehicle for my life! - 2016 Nissan Murano
By Jen - August 1 - 6:11 amI opted to go with a Nissan because I had an Infiniti for 7 years/155,000 miles which I loved and was incredibly reliable, but I needed to upgrade in size and couldnt afford the same size in an Infiniti. I ended up purchasing a 2016 Murano Platinum with 9600 miles at a great price and with the full extended warranty. I have been so pleased with the car in the month or so that Ive owned it-- I drive all over the state for work, so comfort, reliability, and quiet interior were very important to me, and this car meets all of those expectations. I also needed more cargo space for work, and it fits everything I need to carry with room for even more. The Platinum version has all the bells and whistles, which I wasnt seeking out but enjoy having. The gas mileage is a little less than advertised, but its better than my previous car, which was smaller. The controls are very easy to use, similar to my previous car, and the display is easy to read. Overall, Im thrilled with the car and am I glad I took the plunge to purchase it when I did.

Burning oil after 96K - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Tina Delgado - July 30 - 12:46 pmAfter religious oil changes, my beloved Murano has begun to burn oil, 7qts per 3000 miles. Needs new engine, it seems. Very disappointed in the longevity of this car. Would not buy another.

awesome ride - 2005 Nissan Murano
By felicia maroncelli - July 30 - 1:50 ami bought this brand new this month. I am still waiting for the car to break in- it has not yet reached the 20/25 gas mileage on the sticker. It is currently getting 17.7 mpg. Aside from that , I love this vehicle.

Comfort + - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Dagmar - July 27 - 10:00 amThe "cross-over" height is just right. I have arthritis and it is so easy for me to slide in and out of the driver seat. I took it on a 7 hour trip after I purchased it. I was comfortable all the way. This is the best vehicle I have ever driven. It is a smooth, quiet ride. (I only have 1700 miles on it) The size is not much larger than the Honda LX sedan I drove which was too low to the ground for me. It parks easily in the garage; it turns easily. All in all I rate it excellent even though I just bought it! Ramy at Power Nissan in Laguna Niguel gives great service!

THE Urban SUV - 2005 Nissan Murano
By georgaynea - July 26 - 8:16 pmLiving in Houston, this SUV can handle traffic with ease and can park anywhere a smaller car can (and thats a BIG deal here!). I am very impressed with all of the bang for the buck. The CVT is a change for those of us who are used to hearing and feeling our vehicles shift. But it only takes a very short time to get used to. In fact, if you used noise (engine or wind) to gauge speed, WATCH OUT! It will be at 80 mph in seconds if you dont watch. It appears that the very few things that I would change in the 2005 have been addressed in the 2006 model. I think I have found a vehicle I could really be loyal to.

Xlent Styling and Comfort The Murano - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Bill Durrell - July 24 - 4:16 pmWhen I decided to buy a new car,I told my wife I was going to buy a sedan this time.I have owned SUVs since they came out with them,we needed a larger car to haul the kids and the dog everywhere. So now the kids are gone and its her and I. We dont need a bigger car. WRONG she says to me,you still haul our stuff for work, buy an SUV. So I started looking at them. The Nissan Murano caught my eye, I test drove it and liked the way it rode,It has great pickup off the line it is a very stable vehicle, and very comfortable the drive,I would recomend it to everybody,Ithas classy styling of a car and the guts of an SUV.

07 Solid - 2007 Nissan Murano
By pikey - July 22 - 3:30 amThis vehicle has performed flawlessly for 44,000 miles thus far. It has been taken to the dealer only for routine servicing. No deficiencies! The Murano is smooth, comfortable, right sized and rather economical for its size and capabilities. It handles mountain driving pleasurably. The reclining rear seats and ample luggage space make it a perfect long-distance cruiser for four full-sized adults. The original tires are becoming due for replacement soon at about 45,000 miles. All in all, the Murano has been a perfect vehicle for me and my family.
