Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Impressive Vehicle - 2006 Nissan Murano
By ERSAN E. - November 22 - 6:50 amThis is an impressive SUV for its value. I was planing to buy Benz or BMW but I am glad I kept my 20,000 bucks in my pocket and got more from my Murano than those vehicles offer. Excellent comfort, service and performance. It sticks to the ground on snowy and icy road conditions. Interior design is very attractive and CVT shift is the most interesting feature you can experience and only at Nissan vehicles. I am glad that I test drove this vehicle that day and bought it. Extremely recommended.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VEHICLE ALL MY LIFE - 2016 Nissan Murano
By Howard Kornblum - November 22 - 2:36 amHAVE OWNED HONDAS FOR 30 YEARS. I have driven Nissans such as the Altima and Maxima and was always very impressed with the pickup, the way the cars handled, the interiors, the finishes and the beauty of the cars. Well, It was time to by a new vehicle after owning my last Honda for 18 years (and will NEVER buy a Honda again when the perfectly maintained car blew its engine at 92K miles and Honda would do nothing, except loose a customer FOREVER) and then I saw the resigned Murano. This car sent be right over the top. I am not a car nut but then I saw this and it was instant love. The test drive was perfect. great on the street, terrific pickup with no lag, smooth as silk cornering ability plus the sexiest of both interiors AND exteriors. People have been stopping my and asking what car is that. I scream Its the new Nissan Murano and you have to buy one." It is so luxurious on the inside pickups like a dream and corners on rails, so you can make it whatever you want, a Sport SUV or one that fits your driving style. Personally pickup without lag is extremely important to me as are making smooth turns with a hard turn of the steering wheel. This vehicle delivers on both and so much more. Hey this LA where you are driving next to cars out there for 100K to 2M and this car with its 20 inch rims and flashy new design still have people looking so the redesign is also beautiful. The one criticism I dont understand it cargo space. Mine has a ton when my rear seats are down. I recently put in enough planning material for a 40 hedge so I am not sure what the critics are talking about. When the seat are up, there is still plenty of room for all the sporting gear, groceries, etc. This car is a winner. It is a 5/5 and worth every penny. It is the best car I have ever owned and one of the best cars I have ever driven in.

A GREAT Car...stylish and FUN! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Kat Kramer - November 21 - 3:33 amI had been in love with the Murano since it was first introduced, but was looking at the Lexus when I ran across this pre-owned one. Its my first Nissan (Ive always had Hondas, Mazdas, & Toyotas), and Im thoroughly impressed. With all the SUVs on the market, the Murano still stands out. My parents have the Lexus RX330, and the Murano actually is roomier. Even the back seats are comfortable for passengers, and Nissan included features I thought were frivolous and silly, like the "proximity key", that Ive really come to rely on and love. Like buying an Apple computer...the company gave me more than I needed, and made the driving experience much more than I expected. Im delighted.

Automotive engineering at its best - 2009 Nissan Murano
By John - November 18 - 11:16 amSince 1970, have driven or owned almost every Nissan-Datsun product ever built. The 09 Murano is a first for me and tho experience is yet short, this is probably about as good as any driving experience is ever going to get for present industry standards, period. Relentless comparisons and long time experience keeps me coming back to Nissan. Note some who complain about body roll -- those should realize that Nissan could provide perfectly flat cornering, but then a lot of weak or inexperienced drivers would find out (upside down in the ditch), that tires do not stay permanently glued to the pavement. Some body roll lets you know that you are approaching the adhesion limits of your tires.

Go MO - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Elliotgb - November 15 - 10:00 amI traded in a boxy 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the MO. I prefer the great styling and performance of the Murano over the Jeep anyday. Id say the expected future reliability should be above average. Fun to drive and look at, responsive. Gas mileage could be better, though.

Blown head gasket at 20,000 - 2009 Nissan Murano
By chummo - November 15 - 3:53 amThe head gasket went with just under 20,000 miles. That is something that should last 200,000 miles. Nissan village fixed it under warranty and 2 days later it had to be towed in because almost all the oil leaked out all over my new garage floor because one of the gaskets was improperly installed. Then it had to go back in again because of check engine light. It was the oxygen sensor. This is my fourth Nissan and I will never buy another.

"Doesnt get no respect" - 2007 Nissan Murano
By Carloskid - November 13 - 4:33 pmThis is my second Murano. I love it. I just drove 900 miles form S.C to Long Island, NY and got just about 25 mpg. I always get about 22/23 around home on our flat roads. I can get two fullsize bikes in the back of my Murano with the seats folded. No rack needed. I just use movers blankets for protection.
