This Year's Model Updates:

For 2010, the top-line Nissan Murano LE trim level is now offered with front-wheel drive -- it was previously all-wheel drive only. All Muranos get standard keyless ignition/entry, the SL gets standard roof rails and a security system, and the LE gets a standard dual-panel sunroof. Options packages have also been revised for slightly easier ordering.

Pros:
  • High-quality cabin, spacious backseat, responsive powertrain, precise steering and confident handling, smooth ride, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Less cargo space than many rivals, compromised rear visibility.

  • 7,000 Mile Update - 2010 Nissan Murano

Now that weve put on a few more miles an updated review seems in order. We drove on 2 winding, steep mountain roads in the Hells Canyon area of Idaho, and were so pleased with how little effort it took for the Murano to negotiate those roads. Going down I used low gear or the over-drive button on the side of the shifting lever, so that hardly any braking was needed. Going up I left it in "over-drive off" and the vehicle seemed to just glide around and up those steep corners and hills. With the Muranos ease of steering I could keep one hand on the wheel and one on the shifing lever. This is all coupled with an incredibly smooth ride, so that driving those roads was simply a joy to behold.

I recently switched from an Xterra to the Murano, and although I am still getting used to the change in platform-truck to car platform, I am very pleased. The Murano is an excellent ride, smooth, great pickup and really brings a bit of sporty fun to driving. Not for trucking through the woods, but the LE is well trimmed, leather is comfortable, stereo is excellent. I love driving it.

so far enjoying this crossover. just wish the gas mileage was a little better. also the le comes standard with 20" tires. would rather have had the 19" tires that come on the other models. the tire life is short and this tire is very expensive to replace. the gps is excellent and easy to operate. the car is expensive looking without the price. i am hoping it handles as well during the winter as it does during the summer. i have never had all wheel drive, but will probably give it a good test this winter

I drove many popular luxury vehicles and this car finished number one on my list. Great choice among any luxury vehicle.

Only 900 miles but love my Murano. Replaced a 2007 Honda CR-V. The Murano is much more solid and quiet vehicle than the Honda. Great features. Considered a Infinit FX-35 and Audi Q5 but got the Nissan with the same equipment for much less. Rear view camera system is very quick when shifting to reverse. Runs fine on regular gas.

The Murano drives and rides like a much more expensive vehicle. The interior is on par with our Infiniti M35. It is quiet and well mannered on the highway and around town. While it does require premium fuel, we havent found that to be a drawback considering that decent mileage it gets.

We just got the Murano SL couldnt be happier. The ride is great, the seats are extremely comfortable and the controls are very accessible. We live in New England so unfortunately we havent been able try out the sunroof, but the AWD works awesome. The iPod hookup could be a little more accessible, USB should come standard, but it certainly doesnt make or break the deal. The mileage could be better but what are the chances the dealer filled it with the good stuff.....NOT. This vehicle is fantastik, Great buy!!!

I bought this to replace my 97 GLE Maxima, w185,000 miles on it,the Maxima was a great car & had a lot of luxuries of the time. I was looking at Highlander, MDX, RDX & Lexus RX350. I love this car, love the exterior sporty look, the placement of all the knobs & dials for the radio & air I can reach all of them comfortably. I added all the packages except the DVD. The Navigation helped us find a Bank when we were out of town, although the screen is hard to see with sunglasses. Would have loved the LE for the IPod Integration & the Memory seats but didnt want 20inch tires. This was perfect, I also love being up higher and having a full view of the road but the handling of a sedan.

I needed a vehicle that is comfortable to drive and has some extra room. Traded in an 08 Outlander XLS, which is a great small SUV...but just too small for me. Looked at Lexus Certified, way too much money, Toyota Highlander, rough ride. Tried to buy American but the interest rates have skyrocketed. Murano SL AWD with everything except nav, have my own portable as I travel a lot and didnt need to spend the money on factory nav. Car is smooth, gets 24 to 25 mpg on highway, 80% of my driving. Put on 2000 miles in 3 weeks and everything fine so far.

My wife and I looked at multiple vehicles by multiple manufacturers to replace our 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix. We narrowed our list to the Nissan Murano SL and the Honda CR-V EX-L. We took a final test drive with both vehicles on the same day and it was no comparison, the Nissan Murano had superior comfort, better ride quality, more trunk and interior space and more features for the money. We have put 2500 miles on the Murano and we absolutely love it. We have been averaging 21 to 23 MPG using midgrade and premium gas. The CVT transmission is amazing and want to replace our other vehicle, having a six speed auto, with one that has a CVT transmission.
