Model Overview:

The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

It didnt take me long to get this vehicle. I admit I was first impressed by its fresh, unique look when I first saw it in the fall of 2002. But boy, was I even more impressed when I test drove it. My wife was too, and she said that I deserved to have one. I love my wife! Very crisp to handle on the road complemented with a smooth but powerful ride. Acceleration is robust but gentle. I would say has luxurious space for average-sized people.

Nissan designed an SUV killer with this car. Ive been a truck man all my life, being that Im 6 5" tall. Just traded my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab for a 2003 Murano SL with everything but the Nav system. No other SUV in this price range has the leg and head room the murano has. Absolutely love this car. BOSE stereo system is an absolute must if your into music listening, blows the doors off of my Infinity stereo system I had in my last truck.

Im loving my new Murano. Its Black and Black. Ive never liked a "thing" so much. Its still new to me, only 500 total miles, mostly city. My gas mileage isnt so good but Im hoping it gets better. Does one have to use Premium for best mileage? Still learning about all the extras... I bought this car over the Highlander and Pilot because I love its power and STYLE. I couldnt be happier. I almost feel guilty. Love the Car the Dealership (Sterling McCall - Stafford (Houston)) and my Salesman, Jerimiah, and the service.

I enjoy driving this car and find that Passengers feel comfortable and safe. I looked at Lexus and paid about $8000 less for I feel an equal ride. I will keep this one a while !

Nissan, Make a stick shift please. Metal shave trim got to go, scratch easily. Cup holders on the back should be place higher up. Miles per gallon 18 average which I think is way below the 22 mpg advertised. Dashboard electronic display its not easy to see. Best value SUV for the money. I got mine for $26,500.

I purchased this car used from a lease return and I have had this car approx. 1 month and so far it is great. I love the ride and for an SUV the gas mileage is great. Although gas is a little expensive right now since i must purchase premium $2.67/gallon i get great milage. I use it for commuting and I get about 390 miles/full tank and before the gas light comes on if I wait for the light i get about 415. So far so good and I will get back to you in about 6months to update. This is a great car and fun to drive.

With so mant boxy SUVs around, I think the styling is a fresh change of pace. Why is Explorer the benchmark? Murano has the same cargo and passenger space, gets way better mileage (I Ave.20.5) better performance and costs 5Gs less. Wake up all you Ford Diehards

When it first advertised, told the mrs to trade in her old Stanza and get the Murano. She did not like the style much. Convinced her to do so. Now everytime she drove it, she came home and said everyone comments on the murano and she loved it. The car is great, powerful yet easy to handle. My two kids 9, and 8 yrs old loved the roomy back seat and the storage has plenty of room for the 2 dogs we have. Been doing some fixing on the house and the folded chair is very handy for the 10 feet lumbers and trims. This one is a keeper.
