Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

2 Weeks in - 2009 Nissan Murano
By aillon - March 16 - 9:03 amI leased a 09 Murano two weeks ago. This is the nicest car I have ever driven. The leather is spectacular, the Tech package is really nice. Drives like a sports car, very happy with my purchase. The interior does not feel like a small SUV at all. The cargo space is definitely bigger than the other models. The MPG is not as good as I thought, 70 mph on a flat highway on cruise control it is exactly at 20 mpg. Since it is new, I am not sure if the mpg will go up.

Great Car - 2005 Nissan Murano
By azmurano - March 16 - 8:03 amWhen I decided I wanted to buy an SUV I was stuck beween the Pilot and Murano. I decided to buy the murano because of both the gas milage and the standard features. The murano has tons of standard features that most other SUV do not offer in their base model. Such as alloy wheels and the computer system, dual air, wrapped steering wheel and over sized 18" tires. I love the way it drives, I feel like I am back in my old Altima. Its a SUV with class! I feel like I am driving a very expensive vehicle not a base model Nissan. The CVT transmission drives great, just wish it gave a little more power!

Why do I hate this car? - 2003 Nissan Murano
By mxh - March 10 - 10:00 amI bought this car because I thought (and still think) it is beautiful. There are, however, any number of problems Im having that make it very unpleasant to use. 1)its probably just me but I cant get comfortable in the drivers seat; 2) I ordered and paid for the roof rack in January and it still isnt available; 3) cup holders are very poor; 4) no rear light in the cargo area; 5)rear cup holder is on the floor, perfectly positioned to get kicked open every time someone sits there. Of all these, not being able to get comfortable in the drivers seat is by far the worst.

You Will Love This Vehicle - 2009 Nissan Murano
By SueinCO - March 2 - 8:43 amWe tested the 2008 Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9, Hyundai Veracruz and others and this one was the best. Feel really good about our decision. Rides like a dream. Very quiet and unbelievable comfort. Power is great with the CVT. We got the top of the line with everything except the DVD player for the back, and are glad we did. The interior is great and feels very luxurious. Still learning all the features, but so far they are fairly easy to get familiar with and we love them all. I really like the heated front and rear seats in the LE.

Great SUV, rear vision problem found - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Zack - February 23 - 5:20 pmGreat SUV and good consumer report rating. Had a Pathfinder but this SUV has all I want at a much lower price. Good HP and fun to drive. Some people say the rear visibility is poor; I put those small mirrors (buy at auto stores) on the outside mirrors and if you take out the rear headrests you will see fine ( kids dont try this at home (<" )

life after maximas - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Jim - February 20 - 7:43 pmI actually wanted another Maxima, I had previously owned four. However getting older I could no longer enter and exit the Maxie in comfort. The Murano fit the bill perfectly. Nissan quality, comfort and reliability. This car is a pleasure to drive and I get stares wherever I go. I think they do not know what kind of car it is.

Back Relief and More - 2007 Nissan Murano
By Robert Smith - February 20 - 8:53 amI bought this vehicle mainly due to my having lower back problems and the remedy of sitting in a higher position as compared to a sedan. Disappointing, since I had been contemplating entry-level luxury sedans (e.g, 2007 Infiniti G35X and Acura TL) and felt that I was compromising with this purchase. Boy was I wrong! What a pleasant surprise to find such an incredible all-around vehicle. This is the first Nissan Ive owned and suspect it wont be the last (fingers crossed).
