Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

First Murano on my block! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Barry Janov - March 29 - 10:00 amWe have been very happy with our Murano thus far. It was quite comfortable on a recent road trip, but did not make the gas mileage that the manufacturer claims. We have had a few minor problems that the dealer took care of quite promptly. For a vehicle of its size it has excellent storage space. I would recommend it highly.

Murano - What a car! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Singing Praise - March 29 - 10:00 amI just purchased my 2004 FWD SL in silver. It was also equiped with a Prem. Package. I love my Murano! In the past I have been a Honda loyalist (Civic and CRV), but just one test drive in the Murano and I was sold. The ride is oh so smooth and it handles like a dream. I would recommend this SUV to anyone who is looking for quality, style, speed and versitility! Murano has it all! Great Job Nissan.

2007 Murano our second Nissan - 2007 Nissan Murano
By Gord - March 20 - 1:56 pmIts not hard to go from driving a mid size GM van for 17 years to a new Murano SL awd. our other car is a 2000 Maxima SE. It is the quality and dependability of the Maxima that made my wife and I look into the Murano. We snow ski in the winter and water ski in the summer. We tow a Sea Doo (1000 lbs) to our favorite summer getaway (300 miles) and with the awd...theres not a snow hill that has prevented us from getting to the top safely. It may not have the same ride as the SE, but, it handles the roads just the same. Its stylish and it doesnt take long to get used to the CVT. CVT is like taking off in a jet... imagine the pilot having to shift gears during takeoff.

Murano - Takes over Highlanders Position - 2003 Nissan Murano
By my350z - March 20 - 2:00 amComparison of the Toyota Highlander Limited vs. Nissan Murano SL with Premium and Leather Package. Muranos benefits: Styling and ride, CVT transmission is awesome, 245 HP vs 220, 18 inch vs 16 inch wheels, Xenon headlights with adjustment switch, Dual climate control for driver and passenger, as well as backseat vents, Bose sound system was superior to the JBL, Memory settings with adjustable seats, mirrors, and pedals for Driver 1 and 2 (great for weekend driver vs. daily driver use), Autodimming mirror, compass, and Homelink vs. Homelink only

Great Vechile - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Jenny - March 18 - 11:56 amI think that this is a great vechile for the price. It is fun to drive and comfortable. I have have some of the high end auto makers top of the line vechiles and I can almost compare it to that. It is just as comfortable without the high price sticker. Great job Nissan!

Getting worse with age - 2009 Nissan Murano
By RNkaji - March 17 - 11:06 pmI have had my Murano for a little over a year and a half. I love it, however...in that time period I have had to replace my battery twice. The problem I am having now is the battery will not hold a charge. I have to charge the battery frequently, but it only lasts a week or so, and I dont drive very much. Also the dealership cant figure out what is wrong with it either. But I am learning that this is a common problem with Nissans. If someone could only figure out how to fix it the car would be perfect!
