Overview & Reviews
SE models now include a manual-shift mode for the CVT, and satellite radio pre-wiring is standard on all models. The standard driver seat now features 10-way power adjustment.
- Excellent handling, comfortable and practical interior, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat, gets pricey with options.

MURANO IS OUTSTANDING - 2004 Nissan Murano
By glasgow - July 19 - 10:00 amExcellent auto. Went from sport cars to safer SUV. Rentes many SUVs prior to purchase of Murano ie. Infedinity, BMW etc. For the value there is no comparison

I Love My Murano - 2004 Nissan Murano
By LouCStPete - July 19 - 10:00 amI cannot say enough about this vehicle. Nissan hit a homerun with me when they developed the Murano. I am a 62 yr. old grandma in Florida that has her own business, drives alot, and has a lead foot. I want something that not only has the punch when I need it, but is comfortable, luxurious and fun. Thanks, Nissan for making my day. I am a devoted customer.

Fantastic SUV! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By melsie - June 14 - 6:06 pmI cant say enough positive things about the Murano. It is beautifully designed, inside and out. I dont have the need for a third row seat, so the Murano was perfect for me. The great thing about the back seat is that 3 tall adults can ride comfortably with plenty of leg and head room. The back seat even reclines for long road trips. There is plenty of cargo space and the back seats (40/60 split) fold down with zero effort because there are two handles located in the rear cargo area that you simply pull to lower the seats. The interior is very spacious and the exterior design is so eye- catching. The engine is smooth and quiet and the handling is solid. Great fuel economy.

silver bullet - 2004 Nissan Murano
By sam - June 12 - 12:16 ammy experience w/my murano has been wonderful, my salesman said when i purchased it that each day i would find something new that i liked about it and he was correct. i dont not have anything bad to say about it. i love it. it drives beautifully, is very very comfortable, roomy, and fits everything i need and then some. it has already taken quite a few trips and has passed all tests with us. we call it the silver bullet, and it is living up to its name. what a great product...

Do Not Waste Your Money! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Dissappointed - June 6 - 1:16 amI bought a 2004 Nissan Murano back in 2006, since then I have had a list of problems and issues with it. I dropped the transfer case at 62,000 miles... Since my warranty ended at 60,000 I had to fight to get the dealer to pay for it, or it would have been a $6400 fix... Also, the Murano eats Wheel Barrings! At least once a year I am replacing the barrings.. If that wasnt enough to deter you, try mysterious rattles in the dash and door, Hatch handle works when it wants to and gas mileage is not great. The Murano is a very "pretty" cross over SUV, but the mechanical issues far out-weigh the positives on this one. Do not waste your money buying one or your time repairing it.

This Vehicle Rocks! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By James Alexander - May 6 - 10:00 amI have to say for being a part of the Nissan family for a long time. I finaly stepped up to the plate and bought the best. Black on beige it has been an eye stopper, road grabber, and the most fun in driving I have had in years. The back seats flip down at a stroke and it becomes my mulit purpose car of the century. Yipi is all I can say!!!!!

Oh, My Murano... - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Melissa - March 21 - 2:56 pmI absolutely love my Murano. Im kind of bummed at the moment though, because apparently my timing chain needs to be replaced, and the shop I got it priced at is wanting to charge me a whopping $2,100... (And of course this happened a convenient 900 miles AFTER the warranty expired). Great car, but horrible fixing costs.. And of course every Nissan dealership Ive ever been to has the most money-hungry people Ive ever met.
