Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Good Small Family Car - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Melissa Kieffer - December 17 - 5:43 amThe 2005 Nissan Murano has a smoother ride than most SUVs. It took a while to get use to the transmission, but after I got use to it, I liked it. It rides a lot better than my old 2001 Lincoln Navigator did, but it is a lot smaller.

Murano is worth the money - 2005 Nissan Murano
By chivazo - December 15 - 5:53 amBesides the location of the rear cup holder and the dashboard dimmer you get a lots of car for the money. Excellent handling and performance. Rear seats are very comfortable. Got 22 average miles per gallon on my first tank using 87 regular.

Glad I buy this - 2012 Nissan Murano
By k100fun - December 15 - 3:17 amIm in the market for a Mid size crossover SUV, and end up purchase this lovely model when I nail down between the Lexus RX350 and the Murano. I select the SL model for the leather and the power lift gate. The main reason that I choose this model is the handling and performance. Suspension is stiff enough to handle the curve and it maintain reasonable comfort riding. Nissan do a good job on balancing the suspension for handling & comfort. 3.5 V6 is powerful and I get about 19.5 Hwy with average speed of 70-80. The CVT transmission is one of the best in the market. You feel no gear change at all, just silky smooth. I bet you will get spoil and wont go back to a traditional tranny again.

Drivers door lock is a real problem - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Brenda Rinebold - December 14 - 1:20 amI am very pleased with my 2004 Murano. The first week I had my new murano I thouhgt I would go out at night to see the appearance of the head lights. Well, I shut the door, with the car still running. When I tried to get back in, the door had locked me out. I had to call road service and the auto dealership. The dealership sent someone to open the door. I took it back to have this fixed. It was not repaired and I was told that maybe I was hitting the lock by accident(duh!) Well now I still have the problem, but I am not going to take my SUV all the way there to be told that this is a flaw with this model. I have to make sure I have my keys at all times. This is a poor feature.

Starting to roll - 2003 Nissan Murano
By bluecrab - December 2 - 2:00 amWe bought out Murano SL about three weeks ago and have been more than pleased with our "Pewter Panther." Ride, handling, comfort are all aces. We were looking for touring machine that can go down the long road with performance and comfort and to the grocery nimbly and pratically. Weve found what we were long lookin for.

Murano-Go! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Swisher Sweet - December 2 - 2:00 amMy Test drive with the Nissan Salesman sold me on the car; he drove first, and stomped on it showcasing the cars acceleration 7.7 sec to 60mph!!! He took the car up to 80mph, and then did some quick lane change manuevers and the car stayed flat, composed and handled it with aplomb!!! Drives wonderful, well controlled for such a beast 3900lbs! Xenon HIDs are a must, crisp! Interior accomodations are very good, comfortable, spacious, great use of space. Navigation system is a nice tool and Birds-eye view is a nice improvement! Versatility!

I LOVE MY MURANO!! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By TVESTAL - November 26 - 10:00 amI drove it and had to have it. Bot back in January and between all the creature comforts and stylish looks its hard to beat. NAV is fun and has gotten me out of a jam a couple times. Drove from Colorado to Florida and back and was very comfortable. Noisy with back windows down, the rattle. Got home from FL with a TRANSMISSION LEAK..dealer doesnt know how to fix GREAT.. now what?
