Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

Smooth Ride Up The Grape Vine - 2003 Nissan Murano
By KXS - December 23 - 2:00 amThis is one of the smoothest vehicle for traveling. I could not feel the transmission shift at all during an up hill climb as compare to vehicle without the MURANOs CVT. Also, the cruise control maintained its speed without dropping out or deviating too far from its set point. In addition, lots of power and torque, yet agile and smooth, head turning style, and a car-like drive. This vehicle is fun, fun, fun. . . . .

21st Century SUV - 2003 Nissan Murano
By VA Vic - December 17 - 10:00 amEnjoying the ride, the gas mileage (Premium gas not required), the BOSE system, and the double takes on the road. Acceleration is impressive with the CVT. Test drove the Lexus and BMW and came back to the Murano. My Sunday drives are now All Week drives.

By J Morales - November 23 - 2:00 amGreat Performance!!! Particularly on damaged roads. The 18" wheels provide for an excelent size tire (A lot of rubber :))

EVEN BETTER THEN BMW325xi - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Xterra2Murano - November 9 - 2:00 amI have been looking to trade in my XTerra for a softer ride.....test drove many cars in the procces, all of which fell in the $30-36k price range, wanted to keep it fair.....the Murano out did all of them, even the Acura MDX, and the BMW 325xi.....its worth paying the 2-3k dealers want over sticker....but shop around, i managed 2 get mine at sticker, fully loaded.

This Vehicle is a Blast - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Mr Bill - November 9 - 2:00 amThis vehicle is incredible. It drives very similarly to a BMW X5. The quality is there. The ride is firm but comfortable and definitely handles very well for a SUV. It drives like a car. I get a thumbs up wherever I drive. The CVT transmission is great. One does get used to it fairly quickly. You never feel any gears changing or jerking like a normal transmission would. I think anyone who gets this vehicle would be very content. I am very impressed with Nissan.
