Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

So much more refined than any competitor! - 2011 Nissan Murano
By meister04 - February 24 - 10:25 amLooked at pretty much everything except the American brands (sorry, they just cant compete for the money they charge), and went with the 2WD Murano LE based on the "fit" (Im 6-4") and finish of the interior, and the good looks of the exterior. The Murano is a couple thousand $ more than a Kia, Outback, Hyundai, or Mazda, but the refined interior (i.e., high quality materials, absolutely superb electronics, and solid driving feel) combined with an overall solid build quality make the extra $ well worth it. Previously owned a massive gas-sucking Nissan Armada, so this was quite a step down in size, but a HUGE step up in comfort and interior refinement. Overall: I REALLY like this car.

My first Nissan, probably not my last. - 2009 Nissan Murano
By New Nissan Owner - February 23 - 4:33 pmDiligent research on the net and a few visits to dealerships resulted in my purchase of the 09 Nissan Murano. The car is put together well. Leather interior is incredible. Driver seat could double as a ez chair in your house. It is very quiet. Performance is spectacular. The v6 with CVT is breath taking. Instruments and controls are all easy to see, read and use. The front console screams LOOK AT ME! at night. Very attractive. Fun and responsive to drive. Rides and feels nicer than vehicles I have used that cost twice as much. Outstanding vehicle. Absolutely ZERO "buyers remorse".

I studied the rest and bought the best! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By retirin99 - February 20 - 10:00 amResearched several SUVs including Lexus, Acura, BMW, Honda, Pacifica, etc. Found the Murano offers all that I want in a more spacious vehicle with a price tag $$ less than all others I considered. Traded in LS400 so my expectations were very high. I couldnt be happier with performance of engine and transmission. Love the extra room, styling, handling, comfort, and ammenities in Murano. Couldnt justify $9,000 difference for Lexus RX330. Nissan has a winner here---recommend highly!!

They built the better mousetrap - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Paul James - February 20 - 10:00 amBy far the safest, smartest, and fastest vehicle I have ever owned. My sense of well-being and safety when operating my Murano has never left me since my first test drive. Owning one means being prepared to describe to curious citizens just how beautiful of a car it is, and they do asked every time Im stopped somewhere.

Boomer SUV - 2010 Nissan Murano
By Sanseione - February 12 - 3:36 amIm a Boomer but love cars. All my vehicles prior to this one have been performance sedans. I bought the Murano because I have a dog and needed a nice little ride spot for my dog Boomer. I drove 6 mid size SUVs before purchasing the Murano. Reasons: Great discount price, very nice build quality, smooth drive train and ride, great handling for an SUU. My previous 2004 Maxima ran 187,000, was totaled, rebuilt and was running great when I traded it it. I love Nissans.

Enjoying the Ride - 2003 Nissan Murano
By kgregory - February 8 - 2:00 amSince purchasing my Murano in February, I have been hit with the driving bug. I love to drive my car! The ride is smooth, there is little outside noise, and the seats are comfortable for long trips (4+ hours.) My rear passengers love the semi-reclining seats, but complain about the drink holder; it open with the slightest touch. Recently, the rear brakes began squeaking, and I was informed by my local Nissan dealership that Nissan Corp. was aware, and working on a fix, though my dealership said it was due to a weather change...? No matter, I am enjoying the ride, with one regret...I did not get the moonroof.
