Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

Murano - Great choice for city folks - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Danburi - April 24 - 10:00 amOverall, great SUV. And priced right. The fuel economy has actually improved since I purchased it in March 03. The roominess and ease of adjusting rear seats are great as well. I think the auto adjusting drivers seat is un- needed (I couldnt have that removed at the dealership - it was on all autos) and the fact that you cant get heated seats by themselves are both bummers, but Im still very pleased with the purchase.

1st Oil change at my dealer - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Peter Rabbit - April 24 - 10:00 amGreat vehicle. Im driving 40K miles per year and it is a real pleasure. Only annoying problem is that the front windows rattle on nearly every road surface type.

Nissan Marrano SL FWD - 2003 Nissan Murano
By cherigit - April 18 - 10:00 amHave the Marrano for 12 weeks. I have had no problems of any kind. Love the exterior styling. Love the interior styling and room. Like the rear flat folding seats.I feel the handling and performance is very good for an SUV. I really like the b&g pedals that adjust, along with the dual air, stereo, auto on/off lights and sun roof. The gas milage is getting better, I have gotten it as high as 25 mpg for highway, around 20 city.

Whoa nelly! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Jim in DC - April 11 - 2:00 amThis is the car (sorry SUV) youre dreamed about. Interior, exterior, who said you had to comprimise? Drive a BMW 3 series. This beats it hands down.

Murano a Great Car - 2003 Nissan Murano
By lcrnext - April 9 - 3:13 pmThe Murano is a great car to drive. Not too big, not too small. Handles like a car, but has the comfort and space of an SUV. Love the fast acceleration and smooth handling. Interior features are good, too.

Still happy after 3.5 years/80K!! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Tommyguy - March 13 - 12:20 amThis is absolutely the best car I have ever owned. Even after 3.5 years and 80,000 miles, I would buy this car again! Love the transmission and POWER! Way roomier than people think and drives like a dream. Had only one problem (alternator) but it was 100% covered by recall. I bought this car for the styling and the drive. The only bad thing is that you cannot replace the factory radio with a custom stereo. However, I worked around this by loosing the tray beneath the middle of the console and adding a custom stereo with subwoofer and top of the line speakers. It can be done!

Numero Uno mid size SUV - 2003 Nissan Murano
By bigdon1 - February 3 - 2:00 amI have been looking into mid sized SUV for about 3 years now and I am very glad I waited to 2003 to make it my buying year and bought the Murano. After dreaming about and test driving the RX 300, I am happy to say that the Murano puts it to shame. The drive quality is undescribable and one that needs to be experienced to really believe. The transmission is very smmoth and you can feel the power of the engine from the moment you step on the gas pedal. 245 hp and torque is availble quite readily and the ease of control over so much power is impeccable. This will definitely be a top ten SUV in a very short space of time.

Fell in love after the test drive... - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Mr. Murano - February 3 - 2:00 amShopped Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander before purchasing Murano. The test drive won me over. If your looking for the same old, same old then stick with Honda and Toyota. If your looking for a new stylish design with all the right eronomics, this is the vehicle. Built on the Altima platform, plenty of safety features.
