Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Its got it all - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Tomp - April 3 - 10:00 amReally an amazing vehicle. Nissan gets it! The car has a great ride (love the CVT), every convenience built in, an awesome stereo, great styling, decent gas mileage for an SUV, very roomy, sunroof, AWD, better than average horsepower, and all at a reasonable price for what you get. Ive driven BMWs before this car. Why bother paying the extra $ unless status in your neighborhood means that much to you! The navigation system is pretty cool too.

Nissan Murano 2003 - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Snapshot - March 29 - 10:00 amGreat power, acceleration and ride - very fuel efficient on long trips - have owned the car for 3 months now, and have nothing to complain about. The CVT is smooth and gives low rpmss and noice. Navigation system is great, good screen quality, even in sunlight. Spacious design.

we love our murano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By DOUG WILBUR - March 29 - 10:00 amRide is smooth very quite and comfortable. Took driving vacation within 6 weeks of purchase through mountains of southern Oregon northern California then over the "grapevine" into LA without a hitch. Fuel economy nearly right on with epa estimates but since has improved to the point purchasing premium fuel is not a pain.

Cool Car - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Dr. Z - March 29 - 10:00 amHave owned the car for a couple of weeks. Its a great SUV. Bought it with all the bells and whisles, and love the features. Performance is super. Only 2 SUVs can blow this off the road, one is the Porsche SUV turbo other is the Infinity FX 45. Also, more powerful than many sports cars out there. And the 30-70 acceleration will leave some of these sports car guys scrathing their head. I wish I could see the expression on their face, but, they are always in the rear view mirror. If your looking for an SUV with performance at a great price, then, this is the one for you! And, rpm wise, crusing at 70 mph, with the rpms turning just above idle (1500rpm)) unbeleivable.

Looks aint everything...then again... - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Guy Mitchell - March 29 - 10:00 amat 4000 RPM the thing is a ROCKET. quick and RESPONSIVE. Interior steering wheel radio and cruise controls invisible at nite. Seats are TOO WIDE AND FLAT radio needs MP3 player. Info screen needs brightness control and display MPH? speedo is not clear lights should go OFF DRIVING AUTO to FULL ON and auto off. 3 outlets and they say use ONE AT A TIME! Love adjust seats and memory settings rear view mirror should be LINKED as are pedals. Middle console is cheaply designed Love the LOOKS it gets. car goes"BUDiBUM" whenever ruts and stuff. Horn should have THUMB control...must move hands to hit horn

The Z of suvs - 2006 Nissan Murano
By TM - March 24 - 1:26 amJust bought this after driving a 97 Maxima for 11 years. The Maxima was the best car Id ever owned. The Murano seems like it may be just as good. Solid feel, great road view, excellent quality interior materials, great VQ engine power and unbelievable handling. Nissan calls it the Smooth- UV. I agree.

Its Special - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Dodge Peters - March 23 - 6:30 amI was looking at the Dodge Charger or the Murano, everytime I saw the Murano on the road I glanced and took a second look. I didnt see many chargers on the road but I like it just as much. I went to test drive the Murano and simply felt like this was the car/truck for me. High seating, responsive handling and comfort sold this deal for me. Coming from a Dodge Intrepid I needed something just as big as the Intrepid or I just didnt feel good driving.

A Very Satisfied Owner - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Robert Scholtens - March 23 - 2:00 amThis vehicle is the most comfortable and satisfying to drive of any of my recent cars, which included a 2002 BMW 330Ci, a 2002 Honda Odyssy and a 2000 Acura TL. Perhaps it suits me because although my bones are old I still enjoy a good drive.
