This Year's Model Updates:

SE models now include a manual-shift mode for the CVT, and satellite radio pre-wiring is standard on all models. The standard driver seat now features 10-way power adjustment.

Pros:
  • Excellent handling, comfortable and practical interior, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
Cons:
  • Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat, gets pricey with options.

I love the Murano and I dont have a single complaint about it, except that I had to buy a pair of polarized sun glasses because of glare from Arizona sun against the angle of the windshield.

Purchased my 2003 on a whim. Turns out to be one of my all time FAV autos. Looks great, rides great, sounds great! Comfortable to drive, plenty of space for my traveling needs. Used on two driving vacations....comfy. I guess I love this bar...er car

  • Not a soccer team hauler - 2004 Nissan Murano

Wow, is this an SUV? 2 weeks in and I am incredibly impressed. Handles like a sport sedan, accellerates like a premium sports sedan and stops like a sports car. I cant wait unitl the snow and ice hit. All around sophisticated high end high style performer that is not a suburban soccer team hauler, unless your late for the game.

The Murano is a trouble free vehicle. The ride and comfort level are exceptional. This car has a style that catches peoples eye. People stop us in parking lots and at stop lights to comment on the style and ask about the car. We have taken it on 3 trips over 1,000 miles one way and had no problems. We are very pleased with our Murano SL.

I wasnt thinking about getting a Murano at first. Then I started looking at it and liking it, so I decided to test drive it. After that moment I feel in love, and went to two other dealerships just to drive it again. The day after my birthday I got one. I still find myself just looking at it sometimes, I love everytime I get in it to go somewhere. Everything is great, the Murano may not be classified as a luxary SUV but it should be. I was about to get the Lexus 330.....The Murano was waaay better.

I have been looking for a nicer SUV that can handle all of the weather variations that Montana has to offer. I found it in a used Murano and purchased it a few hours later. I know that there are alot of people that wish to get better gas mileage with this vehicle. Given the size, I think that it gets as good of mileage as one can expect. I have family members with a toureg and they only get 15mpg in town. I am averaging 19 mpg. Great ride, sound accel. and no lurching during shifting. It is not a vehicle that I would take bajaing but it will take us to the ski mountains and almost anywhere else we need to go. In all it is everything that I could expect from an SUV but even more.

  • Just a great car to drive - The Murano - 2004 Nissan Murano

I enjoy the overall comfortability of this car. You glide right into the seats, you dont have to climb in or duck down to get in it. Its definitely my favorite choice out of all the SUVs on the market.

Great driving SUV. The transmission is awesome. Ive added Stainless step bars to hide the exhaust better. Really helps the looks. Fuel economy is around 18. Best has been 22. Very roomy in the back seat and the recline feature makes it seem bigger. No problems through 4500 miles. Do have a noise in the front end. It pops when changing directions with the wheels slighlty turned (i.e. backing out of a parking spot). One major complaint is the headlight swith located on the turn signal. Ive accidentally turned the lights off when signally to turn right. One click and they are out.
