Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

What a blast - 2003 Nissan Murano
By d1rocket - July 29 - 10:00 amI can finally find my car in the lot. This thing has everything the Acura, the Beemer and the Mercedes have for about 8K less.

A Winner - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Lancer - June 21 - 2:00 amI wanted to purchase a wagon to replace a Grand Cherokee Laredo. We considered Volvo XC, Audi A4, Passat V6 and W8. We test drove and bought a Murano SE AWD without the nav. system because it provided everything we were looking for with no compromises. Plenty of space for the dogs. A strong, proven engine. Comfortable interior with plenty of space. An excellent stereo system. The car is fun to drive. It does not handle like my RX7, but it is equal or better then the wagons considered. The CV transmission is fantastic. My hope is the build quality (electronics and trans.) will stand the test of time!

Da BOMB !! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By SNOWBEAST - June 11 - 10:00 amAfter purchasing many new vehicles this is by far the most comfortable, best handling, smoothest driving, most versatile without sacrificing other qualities, sportiest looking vehicle I have ever driven. I cant say enough good things about it.

Our new Murano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Chuckwagon108 - June 11 - 10:00 amJust got back from a 4500 mile road trip in our new Murano, including crossing the Rockie Mountains twice, and enjoyed it alot. Tried a couple of tanks of premium fuel to see if the performance or mileage would vary, per the owners manual, and it didnt affect either. We did enjoy the ride, and the handling, a nice car.

By Nelli - April 29 - 10:00 amGreat car for the money--not all of us want 3 rows of seats, we are trying to get the mini-van out of lives! I look the look over the square boxes.

Great Vehicle - 2003 Nissan Murano
By lnichols - April 29 - 10:00 amThis is truly a great cross-over SUV. It handles and accelerates like a sporty car. The CVT is fantastic. Gas mileage is great for an SUV, but I find that the city values are below the window spec of 20 mpg (more like 18 to 19). Bose Radio system is good, but the RDS is not fully functional. I have to have a few rattles looked at by the dealership.
