This Year's Model Updates:

Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.

Pros:
  • Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
Cons:
  • No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

  • Excellent Car!! - 2003 Nissan Murano

After doing my homework and testing driving the SUV I know there was no other SUV worth considering. Starting price $28,000 and when you compare it to other cars in its league they start at $34,000. Once you drive this SUV it is a no brainer that you should buy it!

  • As good as it gets - 2003 Nissan Murano

I only wish that there was a keyless entry and that the rear windows went down all the way (for the dogs!) We are loving the MURANO!

  • We love our Murano!! - 2003 Nissan Murano

Weve had our Murano for just a week now and our absolutely loving it. The ride is smooth and car-like. The CVT transmission is awesome...still getting used to not feeling the shifting. We used our Murano to pick up a piece of furniture the first day and found the seats very easy to fold flat, and the cargo area spacious. We also considered the Highlander, the Pilot, the Pathfinder and the Sorrento. After seeing and then driving the Murano, though, the decision was easy. This is the SUV to buy if you want to turn some heads!

  • Wow - 2003 Nissan Murano

I received the Murano as a Valentine gift from my husband. I love it! It is luxury, great drive, and the Bose stereo is wonderful. It rides more like a car than an SUV or a truck. It handles great and has "get up and go". I highly recommend it!

  • Luvin my Murano! - 2003 Nissan Murano
    By -

Ive only had my MO for 2 weeks now, but I just love it! Id researched this vehicle and knew more about it when it hit limited prod than any salesperson at the dealerships. The car is FUN-FUN-FUN to drive, has the get-up-and-go you need in those "special situations," has a smooth and comfortable ride. This is a great vehicle; Im hoping its as reliable and long-living as my other Nissan which has 222K miles on it and is still running like a champ. Its a little pricier than I think it should be but if you can go thru something like the Costco Auto Sales program, you can save some serious $$$.

  • Super Fun to Drive! - 2003 Nissan Murano

I have only had my Murano for 10 days, but I absolutely love it! All I can say is that this is ONE GREAT RIDE! I researched SUVs for several months prior to making my purchase and one of the biggest attractions for me was the CVT...it has to be the smoothest transmission Ive ever driven. Nissan has a winner in the Murano!

  • Head Turning vehicle - 2003 Nissan Murano
    By -

I only test drove this veh, but am thinking about buying it. I like the look, its a head turner. Dont roll down the back windows while driving, or the sun roof. The wind turbulance is bad. You need the wind deflector for the sun roof. Great power, and the transmission is neat. Wife loves the ajustments for the seats, and pedals. Seems like a winner, but I havent bought it yet.

  • A treat to own! - 2003 Nissan Murano
    By -

After test driving and researching several "crossover" SUVs, we bought the Murano. Both my husband and I enjoy the roomy interior and easy to reach controls. The engine feels as powerful as larger engines in more expensive SUVs. The adjustable drivers seat and pedals make it easy for both my tall husband and I to drive. The sunroof is a great feature not available on some other makes we tested. It is smooth and quiet on the road. An added bonus, my handicapped dad finds it easy to get in and out of. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive and own.

  • better than a volvo s80 - 2003 Nissan Murano
    By -

i used to rent a volvo 2000 s80, its 15000$ higher priced than the murano i rented next. the murano gave me a much better feel of the road, and has brakes control and stability control, which were not in the s80. plus for our canadian winter it is a 4wd. only a little less acceleration and a little more fuel conaommation. the volvo had good seats, so does the murano. all in all, for 15000$ (canadian) less it is a very good deal. thanks nissan
