Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Love to drive Murano!! - 2007 Nissan Murano
By mark ohio - September 29 - 9:53 pmLove our new Murano. My wife has wanted one since we saw one at the autoshow couple of years ago. It was time for us to buy a new car and we looked at a bunch of different cars and suvs, but this is what we really wanted. After we test drove it we knew that it was the right car for us.

Happy Customer - 2003 Nissan Murano
By BruceBy - September 27 - 10:00 amWe replaced a luxury car and an SUV with the Murano and have been very pleased with our choice. We take many long day trips to see our son play lacrosse in college and the Murano has been a great performer. It is roomy for people and luggage. The Bose sound system is great.

My Little Gas Guzzler - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Vicki - September 25 - 6:50 amAs you can tell, I love the vehicle. The day after I purchased it, gas went up thirty cents a gallon and now even more after Hurricane Katrina. If my crystal ball had been out of the shop, I probably would have purchased a vehicle that gets more than the 15.4 mpg I am getting in the city.

nissan murano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By isabell grasser - September 21 - 10:00 amThis is a roomy midsize suv with lots of space in the back, legroom , headroom. No third seat row( which I did not want (Sorry I am not the darn chaffeur for the neighbor kids. The cargo area is easy to access and can be easy extended by lifting a couple slings in the back, the back seat folds down flat and you could easy transport larger items. This car has a great design and it is modern, what I like best. I have driven in many cars from Mercedes, VW and BMW( not to mention the ugly Explorer)And this one is my very favorite. The ride is a thrill and the price is fair.

I would highly recommend!! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By ljones263 - September 17 - 3:45 pmExterior design is awesome! Interior is holding up very well. Vehicle has been very dependable for over 5 years. I love my Murano even after over 140,000 miles. Vehicle has not been perfect, but all things considered, thumbs up! Muranos are notorious for having front suspension issues, wheel bearings, etc... After 8 years, expect it, its not too bad. Other minor issues, cable for tail gate had to be replaced. Shocks had to be replaced. Thats about it :)

Great all around car - 2005 Nissan Murano
By FRANK - September 17 - 5:00 amMy wife wanted the car, I was not sure about the radical exterior styling at first. Now I love the car as much as she does. Great handling, very roomy, especially the rear seats. Just came back from a 1,200 round trip each way from New York to Iowa, very comfortable; were in the car for two days over 12 hours per day, no problems at all!

By Alan T. - September 15 - 2:00 amSold our 2001 Mercedes C-320 for this vevicle. It is a decision we have not regretted. All the luxury of the MBZ with Nissans dependability and lower price. (We also own a trouble-free 01 Xterra). Love the sound system and the vehicles comfort. Why buy the Infiniti? A wiinner!

A Dream Come True - 2004 Nissan Murano
By BlueMurano410 - September 14 - 3:43 amI LOVE this SUV. Wanted one for 2 years and I still pinch myself each time I walk up to it. Good acceleration, good ride (SE)! Corners and drives like a sports car, but will go through 14" inches of snow and climb curbs if needed. Bose radio is outstanding. Heated seats great in winter. Adjustable pedals and seat make it comfortable for short (53") women to drive and dont have to hop into it. Super vehicle. NOT DISAPPOINTED at all!
