Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

Awesome Murano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Richies Murano - January 6 - 2:00 amI test drove Volswagon Taureg, Hyundi Santa Fe, Volvo XC-90. Murano was more stable, better gas mileage, better looking, better ride, and less expensive than every other vehicle except the Santa Fe(note to get a loaded out Santa Fe, you must pay close to $28,000). I paid 32000 with remote start, sunroof, Bose 6 CD player, custom calfskin.

Outstanding Vehicle - 2003 Nissan Murano
By jrs1775 - December 7 - 10:00 amBought my Midnight Blue Murano in May. It is everything I expected and more. We recently took it on an 1100 mile trip and it performed extremely well in both rain and high winds. Very quite cabin when windows are closed. Quite the sound system, the bass come in loud and clear. Navigaton system is a trip...ha ha. We didnt bring any maps and she brought us to our destination without a hitch! I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who loves to drive. Great pickup and passing power. Beats the Highlander by 150% which was my 2nd choice. Glad I bought the Murano.

I love it - 2003 Nissan Murano
By FredNation - December 1 - 10:00 amI read all the reviews here before I bought it. A great resource. I truly love the Murano. It is fun to drive. I love the style, I get more compliments and head turning as I go by. It handles great, could be a bit smoother but this is the SE and it still is a SUV. Great power and for the money I cant think of a better vehicle. It looks and feels like a luxury SUV for $5-$10K less than the usual suspects. Curious? I paid invoice and got them to waive the marketing adjustment. Sales Rep sold one the week before to a couple who "had done their homework" for $2k more. Edmunds TMV was also $2K more than I paid. Sticker $35,384 - paid $31,800. Any fedback?

Murano Review - 2003 Nissan Murano
By golfaholic - October 25 - 10:00 amThis vehicle is as fun to drive as it is great to look at. We are asked about it almost everyday from strangers in parking lots and even at stop lights. The handling, power, and comfort are all excellent as compared to others in the same catagory. We test drived almost all the others before deciding on the Murano, and 5 mo.s later, we are still very happy.

AWESOME DRIVING MACHINE - 2003 Nissan Murano
By DAVHAS - October 25 - 10:00 amI was looking for a sports car or a SUV. I found them both in the Murano. I is fast. The ride is great except on bumpy streets is really stiff. It is true dont open your back widows while driving by themselves the cabin presure is unbarable. I will call Nissan about this and hope they can fix it or will trade for the Infiniti FX 35.

2003 Nissan Murano Crossover - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Rick Scoville - October 25 - 10:00 amIf youre looking for car-like ride, plenty of storage space, a well thought out interior, sports car handling and turn-your-head looks, the Murano is for you. Weve had more people stop and stare when we drive by than with any other car weve owned. They even walk up and ask to look inside. Its an SUV that handles like a sports car, rides like a sedan and looks like a million. Nissan has really done their homework on this one.

Best Urban SUV - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Mike - October 21 - 8:20 pmWe purchased our silver SL in January 03. The model had only been available since December 02. Weve never regretted a minute. Its got power, performance and comfort. Love the Bose sound system. Our hauling capacity is larger and has better access than our daughters 05 Lexus RX 330. My only complain is that the gas mileage is no where near what they originally claimed (22 city and 28 hwy). Our overall average has been 18 mpg.

Marvelous Murano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By JMichael - October 20 - 10:00 amA dream car for anyone who is looking for the functionality of an SUV with the styling and comfort of a road cruising sedan. With the Murano you cant go wrong. We went from the Subaru Outback, a car in which we loved, to the Murano, which we couldnt be happier with.
