Overview & Reviews
For 2005, the Murano receives a rollover sensor for the side curtain airbags, and a new S model with fewer features and a lower price. New options packages and an Intelligent Key entry and ignition system are newly available.
- Sharp handling, strong standard engine, comfortable and practical interior.
- Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat.

2005 Murano SE FWD - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Challruss - October 20 - 2:23 amI love to drove my Murano. It corners well, is quiet and feels like a car, not a SUV. I dont like how loud the air conditioning system is, the stiff ride when encountering bumps or the fact that there is no power to charge my cell phone when the car is off.

A Great Ride - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Hondo - August 30 - 8:06 pmI traded my Mercedes ML320 (after a final $4000 repair bill) for something more dependable, and the Murano was my choice - and one I havent regretted so far. The Mighty Mo has rapid accelleration, sports car handling, a decent AWD system, and good all-around gas mileage (I see 21 city/hwy), all wrapped in a dependable Japanese package. While the AWD system isnt as responsive as the system in the Mercedes, it has done a good job of getting me around in bad weather. All around, a great vehicle with a cavernous interior. Very pleased, and would buy another.

By madaaam - August 4 - 4:40 pmVery Comfortable, Fun and Easy to drive, Handles well and if you build it to the max, like I did, comparable to a higher class of SUV such as the LEXUS or ACURA

Excellent Vehicle !!! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Mark W. - July 12 - 9:20 amIve had my Nissan Murano for a year. I was amazed at its performance. This car has a lot of spunk! Its unique design turns heads and its handling is excellent. You dont get the feeling that youre about to flip, like you do with some other SUVs. If youre looking for performance and a unique driving experience, this is an excellent choice!

Beautiful Ride and comfort - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Tony - May 31 - 11:46 pmI have had car 2 days and all I can say is Heaven. The ride is so smooth and the seats are so comfortable. Great feel and fun to drive. No road noise and Bose system is excellent. I enjoy the dash layout and sunroof. Fold down seats by handle in cargo is easy access. Intellikey was great idea. Will comment in future after owning it for a little while. Highly recommend! Got fantastic deal before 2006 comes out with little changes expected. I leased SL AWD with Touring pkg.

Power, comfort and fun - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Coppertone - May 31 - 4:46 amI have had my SL AWD (liquid copper with black interior) for about 3 weeks an still love it. The drive is agile but still very comfortable thanks to the superb seats. The engine is large and very powerful and combined with the CVT outaccellerates just about any other SUV in the $40K price range. Great sound from the Bose system. Averaged 20.8 mpg in first 1000 miles in 50:50 city:highway driving.

Love the Murano - 2005 Nissan Murano
By rdon0548 - May 19 - 11:40 amMy 2005 Nissan Murano has a great engine, especially with the 245 hp and the transmission using belts rather than gears. It is as smooth as silk. The rear visibility took a little getting used to, but it is ok. The dash controls took some work to understand. I love the copper color. We just like the truck, no ifs, ands, or buts.
