  • I cant say enough about my Murano... - 2006 Nissan Murano

Ive had my Murano for about 3 weeks now and I love it. Its a great balance of all the things youd expect in a vehicle. I have a great respect for this vehicle and Nissan altogether. It was really put to the test during this snow storm that we had. I didnt have to dig nothing. I just put it in drive and went. Thats what I call a kicking SUV. Id recommend anyone who wants a SUV to check out the Murano....You will not be disappointed.

  • poor gas milage - 2006 Nissan Murano

The Murano is a nice car but the gas mileage stinks. although it says 20 mpg in the city and 25 on highway on the posted window tag, the real truth is 15 mpg city driving. The dealer told me to switch to high test gas and I did. now I get 15.7 mpg. I dont rough ride the car and dont pull out fast from stops. I had a nissan Max before and was satisfied with 20 mpg. so this is a big drop, especially when gas was 4.00 per gal. The interior came only in black or Tan. Not much of a choice. It does have a lot of room and has a good ride, city and highway. I have a 2007....

  • Great SUV but styling no longer excites - 2006 Nissan Murano

Its reliable, comfortable and well made. Best vehicle Ive ever owned. Interior materials not as premium as they look. Leather wrinkles on drivers seat have begun to crack thru. Simulated alloy trim on center console dents easily.

Most of the time I love my Murano. However, when I have problems it seems to take multiple visits to the dealer to cure them. It took a year to solve a creak in the sun visors. Ive made at least 4 visits for a creaking drivers door. Any road imperfections make it creak and it is embarassing when you have others in the vehicle. The door panel has to be replaced. Cruise control will occasionally not respond when I tap the brake pedal have to slam on the brakes or turn off cruise control. The dealer just replaced the master cylinder hoping that will cure the problem So doI! Nissan should spend more money on the interior. It feels like all the money was spent on exterior design.

  • Mostly Awesome - 2006 Nissan Murano

I have the 2006 SL AWD. I test drove a lot of smaller 5 doors including the Nissan Rogue which would suit my active lifestyle. Its unfortunate that no manufacturer has figured out how to make a comfortable car for tall people. The Murano has comfortable leg room; but the seats fall just a little short in leg support. I get about 19 mpg average and up to 22 mpg. I bought it at Mossy Nissan in El Cajon- the sales team is extremely slippery- be careful. Although I still got a somewhat fair price- they lacked integrity.

  • Guess I expected more - 2006 Nissan Murano

Bought this car March 2012 with 83,000 miles. It drives well, the fuel economy is nowhere near the reported numbers. So far, have had a problem with the fuel pump & gas gauge, have had to replace rocker arms on the front twice (extended warranty), replace a front engine mount (warranty) & have had to fix the power steering (dealer said its a common problem in that year Murano models). Also had to have wheel bearings replaced & replace the air blower (no air conditioning/heat at all). Very disappointed considering Id driven Toyotas for over 15 years & had been told many good things about the Murano in this general model year.

  • The best in its class.... - 2006 Nissan Murano

Fantastic SUV for its price!!! And it has excellent steering and cornering for SUV... Much better than some of the sports cars and sedans. It has powerful silky smooth quiet engine but CVT takes some powers away from it.

  • Good Choice - 2006 Nissan Murano

Very comfortable to drive. Quiet, with no engine noise. Sound system excellent. All the bells and whistles worth the cost. Great visibility on the navigation screen. Lots of room for front and back seat passengers as well as cargo. Cant say enough.

  • Great car! - 2006 Nissan Murano

I purchased this car for the safety features and supposed gas mileage. This car handles great and I love to drive it. I purchased this car about 6 months ago and was in one hit and run accident Christmas Eve. The safety features worked beautifully, the repairs were done and the car drives like nothing ever happened.

  • Watch Out for the Drivers Seat - 2006 Nissan Murano

Murano in this vintage have a weak support on the drivers seat. If you look at the Chat area you will see what I mean. The part is $900 and you still need to install it or pay the labor.
