  • Super SUV! - 2009 Nissan Murano

I traded a 2007 Toyota Camry SE-V6 for this Murano LE in April and could not be happier! Great styling, excellent performance, fine handling (for an SUV) and decent fuel economy... what more could I ask for? OK, I could ask for more, but then I would have to purchase a new FX-50 and spend an extra $15K or more!

Love this car. Its very quiet on the highway with 20in wheels. Extremely comfortable and luxurious. Stereo system sound is great. All the appointments in the car are very well done. Cant say enough. very pleased.

  • Pleasant experience - 2009 Nissan Murano

I bought this SUV used from the local Nissan dealer. I had replaced a BMW X5 which I had totaled. One of the main reasons for my interest was the CVT transmission. I own a house in the mountains, and get frustrated riding in a vehicle that does not have a manual shifter or CVT. The uphill and downhill rides are like a symphony. Downhill, I simply push the O/D button which gently slows the vehicle. The ride is car-like as opposed to the X5 truck ride. This did take some getting used to. The electronics were a pleasant surprise. Nav system complete with Bluetooth and a back up camera on a 7 inch screen are a real plus. The 9.3 GB music box is awesome.

  • My take so far... - 2009 Nissan Murano

With 1 child and a second on the way, it seemed time to step up to an suv. Did so reluctantly, but wanted something stylish, functional and price worthy. Checked out the Rav4, RX 350, Acura RDX. The fully loaded Murano LE was the only way to go. Inside the cabin is nice, with a luxury feel. Lots of bells & whistles. The engine & drive is smooth. Very good acceleration for a heavy vehicle. Havent driven it hard, so hard to describe the handling, but it does feel like it does have some body roll on hard turns & movements. Mileage is avg at best.

  • I found the perfect vehicle - 2009 Nissan Murano
    By -

Forget the rest of the pack and go for the best! The Nissan Murano is the perfect vehicle for all around driving. This is my second Murano. The first was a leased 2006, loaded with moon roof and leather. I loved it so much that I purchased the 2009. The problem with the Murano is that you will enjoy driving it so much that you will exceed your lease limits. So go and buy one! This is a road trip waiting to happen. I have driven in blinding snowstorms from Buffalo, NY, through the mountains of West Virginia, and onto the beach at St Simons, Georgia. This vehicle will take you up and down hills, through unploughed roads, and pass 18 wheelers like a bullet. It is fast. It is the perfect SUV!

  • An Unexpected Treat - 2009 Nissan Murano
    By -

To quote the food critic guy on Top Chef, this car is like Tom Cruises performance on Tropic Thunder, an unexpected treat. My current mileage is a little under 900 miles after one month + 2 weeks of driving. No problems at all. Once I reached break in mileage (1500), Ill stop babying it and see what it can really do. Dealer wanted me to go for the S AWD for saving $$$ and I didnt need the extras that came with the SL. He was right. The car is sweet and gets a few looks. The factory stereo is OK but to get the Bose, had to go with Premium Pkg on the SL. Some sliding on turns. Front pillars are distracting. Will not disappoint. You get a lot for your money. Quiet. Peppy.

  • two tons of fun - 2009 Nissan Murano

I test drove infiniti, Lexus, Toyota. I kept looking at murano and for some reason moved on. But after going thru all the rest I came back. The exterior styling had been my initial attraction but the cft transmission had been the putoff. Boy was I wrong. This murano drives like an infiniti/Lexus. Soft ride with lots of pep and no hesitation. Flying on the interstate it glided effortlessly thru rush hour, dead quiet to wind & traffic noise. I hated to park it it was such fun.

  • I really, really like it - 2009 Nissan Murano

I purchased the SL AWD with the dual moonroof, leather, premium and technology packages, wanted the LE, but couldnt justify the extra cash. Its been 9 months, and I must say, the car has grown on me. In the last month Ive seen so many 09 Muranos on the road, the word must have gotten out. I must admit it was kind of nice being the only one around.

  • Best crossover all things considered - 2009 Nissan Murano
    By -

We considered many SUVs and narrowed our choice down to Toyota Highlander and RAV4, Honda CV-R, Subaru Forester, and Nissan Rogue. The Murano has by far the best styling inside and out. The size was slightly bigger than it appears so it is not quite as nimble as some of the smaller offerings. We did not want either a sunroof or third row seating and this is one vehicle where you dont have to pay for those options and you can actually find in dealer inventory. We recently took it on a 400 mile trip and found it to be extremely quiet and comfortable. It seems to be getting good mileage about what the EPA estimate suggests. All things considered I think of it as a "poor mans" Lexus RX 350.

  • Very Happy with Murano - 2009 Nissan Murano

Bought about two weeks ago, and have to say im quite impressed with the nissan murano, very responsive 3.5 v6, love the cvt, always in the right spot no matter how youre driving. Handles like a car, kinda of sporty. Love the rear reclining seats. Averaging about 22 mpg combined when taking it easy, otherwise around 19 mpg which isnt bad at all for this size of SUV. Glad i purchased. very solid, quiet and comfortable ride.
