Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

A sight to behold! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Margot - November 24 - 2:20 pmThe Murano is a car that Ive admired since it 1st came out. The design beats many more expensive competitors, like a Lexus RX without the price tag. Smooth quite ride, very roomy interior and nice aluminum accents throughout. I really love the Murano, my only complaint is that the Sunlit Copper color is not available in the S model. Now I am contemplating whether I should trade in my S Merlot for an SL Sunlit Copper. Having the Murano in the "orange" color would really make me a very satisfied and long term MUrano owner. Now Id have to think whether the color is worth a few k over. Otherwise, the Murano is highly recommended, you wont be disappointed. Just a beautiful SUV overall!

A sport sedan in an SUV costume! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By rbridgman - November 21 - 2:00 amIm loving the Murano so far...got an SL with Leather, Cold, and Premium packages, plus sunroof. This car has some amazing technological features and incredible comfort, plus enough headroom for my 64" body, even with the sunroof. Its as tall as my Quest minivan, as long as my Maxima, and has all the best attributes of both.

Nothing but excellence for the Murano - 2007 Nissan Murano
By Michael - November 19 - 3:06 amMy wife and I purchased a new 2007 Nissan Murano in February. This is perhaps one of the finest cars we have owned and we enjoy every aspect of the vehicle. We purchased the Pearl White Murano SL with a sunroof and DVD entertainment system. The only regret I now have about this vehicle is that I didnt get Navigation. However, I do have that in my 2005 Nissan Murano SE.

Dump the vans, try a Murano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By JFELT - November 16 - 10:00 amTwo days old today, and we cant stop driving this Murano. Dealership did a good job, we stressed over buying a Pilot or Murano, and went for the available (better) vehicle. When is Honda going to learn?

Probably the best vehicle out there - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Aditya,Shah - November 16 - 10:00 amI would never have bought an suv but the transmission, the ride & vehicle itself made me fall in love instantly. I have never questioned nissans reliability & more than anything just the strong but gentle feel of the vehicle made me weak to my knees. I would definately recommend this vehicle to any car & suv buyer as the best out there & im proud of myself as i saved 15000$ as i nearly bought a Lexus 330 till someone drove up in that dealership with the murano. call it destiny call it love at first sight but dont forget to wave when you see my pewter murano cruising down the road & it says i love my nissan

6.5 great years with my MO - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Jeff - November 14 - 6:10 amThis SUV was a 1st year model, so yes there were a couple of issues. The alternator recall, the rocking chair fixed under warranty and the flopping sun visor coming just this year. The CVT performed flawlessly and the only other items done were battery, tires, wiper blades & oil changes. All things considered, this was a blast to own & drive for 85k miles over 6.5 trouble free years. The styling was cutting edge in 03, it was very sporty for an SUV and it fit me, 63" 290lbs with ease. It could also hold my 3 boys in the back seat and 2 of them are 6+ foot. The cargo room was amazing, I have got many a admiring comment at Lowes.

for cash spent this is it. - 2003 Nissan Murano
By gw - November 10 - 10:00 amits a fun drive, safe, fast, great interior layout.bags of room in back for people and their stuff. perfomance and the abilty to stop faster than anything in its price range. drive it against the competion and see for yourself. it;s also extreemly stable on the rd. the balance of the car is exceptional for an suv. my other car is a Jag which has low centre of gravity and so having beenm acoustomed to that many suv;s were plain "boaty" in their drive. all the fun of a car in an suv and much more...

Could be the best SUV of all - 2006 Nissan Murano
By Al in Denver - November 10 - 7:20 amThe Murano is close to perfection, compared to any other SUV,except for just a couple aggravating things. It drives and handles amazingly well, but rides like a truck. It is fun to drive, has an extremely comfortable and versatile interior with many clever features, but exclude the dashboard from that. The engine and CVT transmission are pure delight... smooth, quiet, powerful, leaves you always feeling like you are in command. And, it is extremely responsive except that it feels a little slow off the line... mostly an illusion. The seats are fantastic, and unlike most Japanese vehicles, you can adjust them to accommodate tall people with long legs. Visibility is very poor to the rear.
