Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Murano Surpases Expectations - 2005 Nissan Murano
By LessSleep - January 18 - 8:30 amIve been a Ford man all my life, Dad owned a Ford Dealership and my wife works for Ford now. Decided to stray from the path and do not ever plan to go back. The Murano is such a step ahead of the Fords I have been driving. Mileage by far exceeds my previous models and the Power is extremely fun to drive. I tested a Mustang Gt before I bought this Murano, and the smile on my face was the same. The one add-on I would suggest is the K&N air filter. It increases my gas mileage and the Horsepower. I find myself going for drives on my noon hours, just to enjoy the car and get away from work. Its probably a sick thing to be in Love with your car this much. It wont fit on her side of the bed.

Roadtrip - 2007 Nissan Murano
By Peter Stringer - January 16 - 4:43 pmWe have just completed a 30 day, 8k mile roadtrip, Florida - Utah and back, the car performed superbly. 1100 climbs on gravel roads, no matter what we attempted the car was just perfect. We completed 625 miles one day thro Texas - so comfortable, cant praise it enough. Had an oil change in Kanab by Ramseys - brilliant. Got back - Royal Palm Nissan dealer for full service and the hassle started. The local dealer lets a brilliant car down.

A Pleasure to Own - 2010 Nissan Murano
By JerrySC - January 13 - 4:53 pmThe Murano drives and rides like a much more expensive vehicle. The interior is on par with our Infiniti M35. It is quiet and well mannered on the highway and around town. While it does require premium fuel, we havent found that to be a drawback considering that decent mileage it gets.

AWD w/nav bought Used - 2004 Nissan Murano
By darinr - January 13 - 9:53 amI just bought this used Murano w/nav for the wife and love it! For an 04 it was in great shape. The nav is pretty cool (wish it was voice activated). Put on chrome wheels for the wife and it looks much better with them. I have had decent luck with Nissan so I hope that continues. Looked at the RX330 but for the money this was the best deal.

A Total Dream - 2004 Nissan Murano
By xanpeter - January 12 - 10:00 amAs a retired couple, we hesitated on whether we needed such a large vehicle. However, the ease of getting in and out almost sold it to us on the spot. The road handling is fantastic, the comfort superb, and the power impressive. Not for one second have we had any regret about this purchase- our fourth straight Nissan.

Prons & Cons - 2003 Nissan Murano
By jpires - January 9 - 2:00 amGreat handling and smooth ride. Fuel efficiency is best in class with 21 MPG in highway at 75 MPH (probably better at lower speeds). CVT transmission is a definitely plus. Great stability in all types of surfaces, very comfortable and quiet ride.
