Overview & Reviews
For 2005, the Murano receives a rollover sensor for the side curtain airbags, and a new S model with fewer features and a lower price. New options packages and an Intelligent Key entry and ignition system are newly available.
- Sharp handling, strong standard engine, comfortable and practical interior.
- Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat.

Impressed with 2005 Murano SL - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Murano - July 31 - 5:00 amThis is an impressive performer and a must-have vehicle for those who are interested in a mid-sized SUV. This one of the nicest Nissans that I have had the privilege to own and I plan to take good care of this gem. I hope to learn more about the many new features that this car has to offer. Now is the time for all prospective buyers to take the plunge, as the sales are on and take advantage now.

CVT - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Amanda - July 12 - 8:10 amWe bought this car brand new in 2005, I loved it. The drive was amazing and smooth, I just loved every feature of the car. We have had no issues with the car and it has been very well maintained. I took it in to have the brakes replaced, which didnt need to be done until 65,000 miles. After I picked up the car I noticed it was making this fluttering sound so I took it to the dealer and the dream car became a nightmare. They told me it had internal failure to the transmission and they recommend replacement. $4500.00!! There were metal shavings in my fluid and besides the noise I wouldnt have noticed because it still drove fine. Please be cautious with this tranny it is costly to replace!

Excellent - 2005 Nissan Murano
By DEBBIE ANN - July 9 - 7:00 pmThe Muranos stylish exterior makes it the all around SUV. Beautiful on the town. Rugged & sporty for soccer & adventures. The interior is remarkably spacious. We had two mini vans prior to our Murano. I thought the loss of space and comfort, that our Grand Caravan provided, would be the price wed pay to finally get out of the van and into sophisticated style. Surprisingly, our family of 5 found comfort, with more than adaquate (personal) space. (No "Ew,hes touching me!" fights) The kids even prefer our Murano over our 2005 Dodge Magnum!! >**Not a single problem with my Murano in our 9 months together! Great performance. Fine handling. An absolute BLAST to drive!!!

Murano Rocks! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Judy - June 23 - 10:16 amOutstanding vehicle! This is the most wonderful car Ive ever owned; drives like a sports car but can handle hauling, too. Ive towed jet skis w/ the tow package and had no trouble at all. Extremely nice on long road trips. The seats offer multi-positions for comfort. You wont go wrong if you buy or lease a Murano!

There are those who travel on top! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Cleopatra - June 20 - 9:23 amI went from a over priced Lincoln Navigator, to this luxurious suv. The Murano has lots of horse power and a nice sleek interior and exterior design...What more can you ask for!

Great Handling - 2005 Nissan Murano
By MikeS - June 6 - 2:16 amMurano SL with AWD handles great in all weather. I do not agree with the CVT dig on performance. This is a 245 HP engine which has plenty of pickup and go. It is not a sports car, but does feel very sporty. The CVT will prolong the transmission and save fuel cost.

Excellent truck - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Arlene - May 12 - 4:03 amWhen looking to purchase a vehicle, I looked at the Mercedes-Benz M-Class and the Lexus RX 330. I ended up with a 2005 Nissan Murano SL. As far as I am concerned it is a luxurious vehicle, fun, and very sharp looking. My husband owns a Mercedes and he loves driving my Murano. I think some vehicles are overrated because of their brand image, but Im happy with my choice. The ride is great. It drives as smoothly as my husbands vehicle, if not smoother. I am one happy customer.
