Model Overview:

The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

We have had Cadillacs, Chevys, Fords, whatever. This is by far the nicest, most useful car yet!!! Thanks Nissan!!!

Murano SL with the premium package affords you a sleek look on the outside and luxury on the inside without the luxury price. I love it!

I traded in my 2007 Nissan Maxima (my baby!) for this 07 Murano. I live in Massachusetts and I needed a better vehicle for the cruel winters here. Ive only had it for a week but my mother owns a 05 Murano and I have drove that plenty so I knew I would love my 07 Murano.

I was super excited about this pre-owned car, I bought it around 50K and I bought the extended warranty. HOLY CRAP, Im glad I did. Here is a list of things that were fixed. Catastrophic Failures (covered by Warranty) Drive box - wouldnt go in reverse (Out 2 weeks) Transmission was rebuilt when the chain kept leaking which I guess is a common problem. (Out 1 week) Minor but extremely annoying: Door Actuator on the Drivers handle Windshield Wipers (twice fixed) CV Joint passenger side Struts after only 60K And a bunch of other crap I cant remember... Nissan fixed things, but as soon as the warranty ended, I sold this bad car. Now its another Nissan dealerships problem.

Murano is a rough ride, more like a truck not quiet at all and uncomfortable and stiff. Lots of blind spots. No cargo room and more trouble to lock and unlock with the intelligent key. Murano is grossly overrated. I cannot believe I am stuck with it for 3 more years. How do you get out of a lease?

Have always had full size pick ups. Traded in my 07 Tundra for the Murano. Love the comfort, power and handling. Gas mileage a little disappointing so far (only about 18mph). Poor visibility. Very smooth accelaration. Was unwilling to pay for unwanted features just to get leather so had put in after (better quality then factory anyway). Very happy so far.

I love this vehicle. This is my third Nissan; however, my previous car was a Volkswagen and I didnt realize how much I missed Nissan until I drove the Murano. The 09 interior is a vast upgrade over previous models. So long as you dont mind the lack of a third row seat (which I dont) then this is quite possibly the best "CUV"/SUV on the market for the price. It is a perfect blend of power, comfort and style. The front-end styling is much more appealing than in previous versions.

Our last two vehicles have been explorers. Weve owned the murano for a month we will never own a true suv again. We decided to test the crossovers.Drove the murano first. WE WERE blown away. NOTHING ELSE compared. Smooth carlike ride.Seats are the most comfortable ive ever ridden{cloth). FUN FUN FUN TO DRIVE. CVT IS AWESOME. IM 63" and can stretch my legs all the way out in front. Truly an urban suv as its advertised. Getting in and out a breeze. Unique design doesnt look like the typical suv or wagon or minivan. Climate control and bose cd changer is fabulous. RANKINGS 1 MURANO 2 PILOT- 3 ENDEAVOR 4 HIGHLANDER 5 EQUINOX -cheaply made

  • Great Auto - 2003 Nissan Murano

This is a "homerun" of a vehicle! Strong power, great stereo system, nav system very precise, seats very comfortable, easy to program and drive. Ive driven a BMW 740iL for the last 3 years and while I do miss the power of 8 cylinders, this "machine" is great. The BMW X5 would have cost me nearly $12,000 more and I would have still had manual transmission at that! Way to go, Nissan!
