This Year's Model Updates:

For 2005, the Murano receives a rollover sensor for the side curtain airbags, and a new S model with fewer features and a lower price. New options packages and an Intelligent Key entry and ignition system are newly available.

Pros:
  • Sharp handling, strong standard engine, comfortable and practical interior.
Cons:
  • Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat.

Looked at reviews for months. Wanted the SL but once I drove the SE I was hooked. Not 1 squeak. Very smooth acceleration. So far gas milage has been around 15MPG around town. Want to know the milage press the button and it will tell you. Controls are easy to figure out. Basically I love this Car / Truck. Not sure what it is! :)

  • 3 days and We Love this Murado ! - 2005 Nissan Murano

The first place we went was up Highway 2,in Pasadena, Into the mountains. All Smiles from the wife as she negosiated the winding road at 20 mph above the posted speed. The SE Supension really holds the road and on the freeway or City streets it is very smooth. We are looking forward to the Mexico trip to see how well it handles We expect to be all smiles. The SE Supension is simular to a sports car but not rough. The Power is very good from the 3.5 V6 and the CVT transmission is amasing. The Murado is a Luxury Vehicle with out the Big price Tag The adjustable seating for all 5 seats is great I was susprised by the comfort.the Drivers

The 1st suv that really rides like a sedan. Great pick up in town and on Hwy. We avg. about 27 mpg Hwy and 20 mpg city. ( After breakin period of 1500 miles.) Merlot was the color of choice. Very eye catching vehicle. Great for couple who want style performance and comfort. We have the S model, which come with alot of standard equipment. The safty rating is awesome it has front and side curtain airbag (Big Plus for us, we have kids.) Another thing great interior space for adults front or rear. My wife and I have enough leg space in the front know we have two kids in carseats behind us. And they even have leg space to spare. The AWD is great kick in when needed nough said. Iloveit, but its her

I fell in love the very first time I saw it. At first I thought it would be a very expensive SUV for the sylish features it has, but when I saw the pricetag I was blown away and I called "dibs!" This vehichle is one of the best interiors as well as exteriors that I have seen and it looks very classy and is a smooooooth ride. The CVT is awesome and still has get up and go power! The rear seat has an enormous amount of room and is very comfortable with the reclining seats. I am amazed by all of the standard features that would normally cost extra in other vehichles. Way to go Nissan!

This auto is comfortabale, handles great, is roomy, gets great gas mileage and looks great. I have owned several vehicles in my 30+ years of driving, and for the money - this is by far the best purchase I have ever made. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an SUV.

  • Best vehicle Ive ever owned! - 2005 Nissan Murano

This is my first foreign vehicle and, so far, the best vehicle that Ive ever owned! The CVT is extremely pleasant to drive and the versatility of the interior space is outstanding. The styling of this vehicle reminds me of the cars that guys who could draw used to draw in their notebooks back in high school when wishing to design what cars of the future looked like.

I purchased this vehicle a month before we moved out of state. The drive from San Diego to Vancouver, WA was very enjoyable. We live in a very rural area of WA and mostly drive along a winding river road. The Murano handles very well and I have never found a need for more power. Its a pleasure to drive. Ive owned it now for nine months and still love it every time I get in the car to drive, which is always a minimum of 30 minutes each way. I love the mountain drives where you never feel the transmission shift. Its not sluggish at all to me. I love it!
