Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Best value in its class - 2009 Nissan Murano
By RalphO - April 3 - 8:46 pmHave owned it 4 months. Love its performance, comfort, conveniences. Need 6 cyl for tow capacity. Good handling is important to me. Muranos is much better than Lexus RX. I gave it a 9 for fuel mileage, rated relative to its competitive group. Of course Id like better. People rave about the Bose radio. I think its adequate. Overall, to me this is by far the best value in class.

By the angler - April 1 - 10:00 amI enjoy the Murano. It has every thing I need or want. The vehicle drives like a luxury car, not a suv.Its very comfortable to drive. I do a lot of highway driving and the Murano is very good on gas.

Love my murano - 2006 Nissan Murano
By evrelz - March 30 - 7:53 pmI absolutely love my murano, my kids and I cant get enough driving and riding in it. I love the intelligent key system, its makes so much since for a mom whos usually got my hands full to not have to go dig in my purse for keys. The backup camera is great, I had the beeping on my last car, liked that too, but the camera is better. All of the safety features are a great big plus for me since I have children, I do feel safe in it. I like the t.v. and dvd player in the center console, it can be concealed when not in use. I wish it had bluetooth capability, and there does seem to be some glare on bright days, overall I love this car. Its really a sexy looking vehicle for a woman.

Poor seat belt design - 2016 Nissan Murano
By Chris - March 25 - 11:30 pmIve owned my Murano for 2 months. Ive never owned a Nissan before but I liked the size of the back seat in the Murano since I have 2 very tall teenage boys and I wanted to make sure they fit comfortably. The front seats are also very comfortable and it is a nice ride. But there is one very annoying issue. When my kids sit in the back, they inevitably step on my seat belt thereby tightening it on me while I am driving! The front seat belts come out of the floor and there is no protection around them. At the very least, this is an EXTREMELY poor design and quite possibly a safety issue. Im also disappointed that Ive already gotten recalls on the airbags and brakes. Nissan is not doing a good job building my confidence in them, this may be my first and last Nissan purchase.

Just bought - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Lou - March 25 - 7:23 amJust bought my S type. Love the ride! Very comfortable suv. More interior room than my old Explorer. Dont know much about economy or reliability yet but expecting the best. Things I wish my S type had - fog lights, automatic headlights, and a 6 disc changer. Couldnt see paying $5,000 more for the other models that include these features.
