Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

2007 Nissan Murano - 2007 Nissan Murano
By Stephanie - May 25 - 2:36 pmI purchased the 07 Murano in May. I find the vehicle comfortable and easy to handle, however, the gas mileage is not so great. Also, the vehicle has been in for service three times in the last two months for squealing brakes in reverse only. So far there has been no resolution to the problem. The service department said that there is nothing more they can do and to contact Nissan directly. I did, and was told Nissan is trying to find a way to fix the problem with the brake noise in reverse. Still waiting to hear what will be done with mine.

My Murano is great! - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Mursan - May 25 - 2:00 amIm very pleased with my Murano. It handles like a dream, is appointed conveniently, and is really fun to drive. Disappointed in gas mileage. It gets great mileage on a highway/expressway but mileage slips in stop & go driving. All controls work well and I am finding the navigation system helpful and easy to use.

Comfort and Quality - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Smackowv - May 25 - 1:46 amMost comfortable long ride vehicle I have ever owned (64"). Has not required a trip to the dealer for anything. Excellent in all driving conditions. Would buy another in a heartbeat!

Noises - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Jeff Todd - May 22 - 2:00 amCar has poor acceleration but after take off has plenty of power and fun to drive. Front brakes make metal sound sometimes when turning sharp. Have had multiple noise problems with the interior. Sounds like a constant vibrating noise even when on smooth road and different speeds. Took three times to dealership to fix noise in back because did not make it all the time. Now is making same noise in front upper passenger side. Did not make noise with tech. Will have to try again next time in Tyler. Pretty embarrassing when someone rides with us. Listened to it all the way to Austin the other day. Sunroof hangs up sometimes and has been worked on once. Very frustrating to listen to these noises.

Just got the Murano SV AWD - 2011 Nissan Murano
By BeReal - May 22 - 2:00 amMy wife and I just got the SV Murano trim and AWD trans. type. We got the extra splash guards , mats, and chrome finishes. The base without options is $33.5k we got like $1500 off that base price, but i think depending on your location and dealership you go to. You can get $2k off the base price. We didnt have invoice to work with since its so new of a model and car. But if you can get like around $31k (before tax and fees and options) you right on the money i think.

LOVE my new Murano! - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Jen - May 20 - 4:33 pmI drove the Maxda CX-7 and even though it has the 4 cylinder turbo, I think the Murano has just as much "pick up" without the turbo. Mine has heated leather seats which I highly recommend. I love the stability control and the all wheel drive. I live where it gets about 600 inches of snow in the winter and the snow doesnt even phase it! Its quieter than the Mazda and the ride is more cushie with the Murano. I did A TON of research and gave many other makes a chance, but I am SO glad that I got the Murano. I love it!The LE has all the bells&whistles but if you cant afford that, the S is still a great car! Cheers!

Much better than expected - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Spensemnstr - May 18 - 2:00 amI have owned several vehicles and this is the best combination of performance, style and space I have ever experienced. I drove the MDX, the Pilot, the Highlander, the Redezvous and the CRV. The Murano was by far the best and it has done nothing to change my opinion in 7500 miles of usage.

High price-Not high quality - 2004 Nissan Murano
By richards - May 18 - 2:00 amThis cardoes not stand up to use. The ussual creaks and odd misfits that appear at later mileage have turned up at 25k. I worry about this car longterm. The passenger seat has come loose. The front end suspension system is noisy. The engine doesnt appear to stand up to normal wear; its using oil and the mileage is dropping.
