Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

ooooohhhh Baaaaabbbyy!!!!!!!! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By ggriffin - November 29 - 10:00 amWell I spent a little time comparing. I read everyones review on this website. I test drove a "Limited" Toyota Highlander. I spent some time trying to rationlize the Toyota, but in my dreams every night kept coming back the black Murano with Cafe Latte leather interior. This car is not only beautiful, but the performance is amazing. I commute 100 miles a day and 30 miles of it is on a famous mountain highway in Northern California. I call it the 4 Lane Bobsled Run. Anyway, this car made me feel like the king of the road. Tires hug the road like glue. It went up and over the mountain and didnt break a sweat. And comfort...!

2013 Nissan Murano, SL AWD Like it a lot so far! - 2013 Nissan Murano
By jeep53 - November 16 - 4:14 amIve only the this SUV for a couple months now and have put on about 3,500 miles. I love the way it handles. The V-6 has enough power for my liking, along with the CVT. It is a very quiet and smooth drive compared to the 2011 Rogue I had before. Love the techology package and the panoramic sunroof. The manual says to use premium fuel but weve been fine with regular. Overall, I have no regrets with this vehicle. I like the exterior style, although I know its not for everyones taste. The fit and finish inside is excellent. I will write another review after six months.

Hot Number - 2004 Nissan Murano
By Alicar - November 12 - 2:00 amGreat driving SUV. The transmission is awesome. Ive added Stainless step bars to hide the exhaust better. Really helps the looks. Fuel economy is around 18. Best has been 22. Very roomy in the back seat and the recline feature makes it seem bigger. No problems through 4500 miles. Do have a noise in the front end. It pops when changing directions with the wheels slighlty turned (i.e. backing out of a parking spot). One major complaint is the headlight swith located on the turn signal. Ive accidentally turned the lights off when signally to turn right. One click and they are out.

My 2005 Murano SL - 2005 Nissan Murano
By rick_barr - November 8 - 3:23 amWe started looking at SUVs 2 yrs ago knowing wed buy this yr. After looking at lots of factors and models, we knew the Murano was for us. It replaced a 99 Altima SE which was a great car but couldnt hold much cargo. The Murano really is like a tall more comfortable Altima. Its also as fast as many larger V6 or V8 SUVs but still averages about 21 mpg.

Comfortable and Elegant... - 2012 Nissan Murano
By halwg - November 4 - 12:51 pmI purchased a 2012 SL AWD in December 2011. I now have a little over 3 months on the vehicle and Im very pleased. The vehicle is comfortable, powerful, and the CVT is extremely smooth. Fit and finish is very good, and the utility of the vehicle is much better than my 2005 Maxima.
