Overview & Reviews
For 2005, the Murano receives a rollover sensor for the side curtain airbags, and a new S model with fewer features and a lower price. New options packages and an Intelligent Key entry and ignition system are newly available.
- Sharp handling, strong standard engine, comfortable and practical interior.
- Continuously variable transmission detracts from performance, SE model rides harshly, no third-row seat.

2005 Nissan Murano - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Chris Landis - July 12 - 1:53 pmafter my first service with another dealership I had a bad service with them, with a shimmy in the steering wheel, never had it until they did the service, so I went back to the dealer that I bought the Murano from and they have been great. They are the ones that fixed the shimmy in it. The other dealership had it out of line totally.

Great SUV - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Mike - July 6 - 11:43 pmSUV has alot of pep! Handles well. Great interior package (mine has leather and navigation system). Good sound system. Fuel economy could be better, averaging 17 miles per gallon for city travel.

Murano = More for your Money - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Johnny V. - June 15 - 7:06 amId highly recommend a Murano to anyone looking for a mid-size SUV. It drives like a car (shares its platform with the Maxima and Altima) and gets good gas mileage considering the performance it provides. The CVT makes for an incredibly smooth ride and still allows you to turn low RPMs cruising at 85+ MPH on the highway.

WOW.... - 2005 Nissan Murano
By mike - June 8 - 4:13 amjust picked up (April 2, 2005) my new fully loaded 2005 SL AWD black on black. Very nice, very roomy, lots of options, good ride (the SL model), solid, doesnt seem to eat alot of gas. The back up camera is very well thought out of and is very usefull. The navi seems to be a pretty good one also. Traded in a 2003 lincoln ls v8 and this car has even more options then the lincoln while the msrp is $10,000 cheaper. And the intelligent key is pretty cool as well. hope it stays the same for the rest of the 42 month lease. definetely consider this car.

Broken Drivers Seat - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Neveragain - June 8 - 1:30 amWow! I thought I had bought a fantastic, classy SUV. Always loved the styling. First Nissan. 6 months after I bought the vehicle the driver seat breaks a mount. The seat is flapping in the breeze. I join in a recall campaign with the NHSTA that closes without resolution because not enough people were killed or maimed. Nissan offers some assistance, but almost acts like we should expect failures like this as consumers. Last Nissan!

2005 Nissan Murano SL AWD with Touring - 2005 Nissan Murano
By James - May 4 - 2:03 amBought mine back in Jan. 2005. SL AWD with touring package at $33500 plus tax. Driver seat sqeaks, and window glass make noise when I drive over speed bumps. I think it might be loose. Interior door handle feel like that they might be falling off very soon. I would not buy this vehicle again if I can start over. My next car will be made in AMERICA.

Love My Murano! - 2005 Nissan Murano
By piper - April 2 - 5:03 amI owned an XTerra previously and traded it in due to fuel mileage. I love the reliability of Nissan and still wanted AWD for Colorado winters. The Murano was a perfect fit! Should have bought one in the first place! Rides amazing (like a luxury car) and so much room in the back seat for my teenage son! Its so quiet also. Very fun to drive. Gas mileage is great for an SUV! We are getting around 26-30 on the hwy compared to 17 in my XTerra! Love it!

Great at first, became a cash-hog - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Erik713 - March 26 - 12:26 amI really enjoyed the amenities that I had never had in a car before. The stereo was awesome, seats were comfy and heated, adjustable everything. 2.5 years later routine maintenance is super-expensive and gas mileage is 19 with mostly highway driving. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE driving this car. It is still the most comfortable car Ive owned. The styling is great, and the interior is sleek and modern. If it wasnt for the continuing extreme kicks in the wallet Id run it into the ground!
