Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. - 2003 Nissan Murano
By LYNN CLEMENTS - April 10 - 2:00 amTHE ONLY THING I WOULD ADD IS A HANDLE ABOVE THE WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I GOT SPOILED ON PREVIOUS SUV HOLDLING ONTO THE HANDLE. ROOFRACK NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE AS AN ADD ON LATER. BODY SIDE MOULDING WOULD BE A PLUS. THIS SUV IS DEFINITELY A HEAD TURNER. I HAVE HAD A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE, TOYOTA HIGHLANDER AND NISSIAN HAS PASSED THEM BOTH ON INTERIOR, QUIETNESS AND STYLE.

Murano - Takes over Highlanders Position - 2003 Nissan Murano
By my350z - March 20 - 2:00 amComparison of the Toyota Highlander Limited vs. Nissan Murano SL with Premium and Leather Package. Muranos benefits: Styling and ride, CVT transmission is awesome, 245 HP vs 220, 18 inch vs 16 inch wheels, Xenon headlights with adjustment switch, Dual climate control for driver and passenger, as well as backseat vents, Bose sound system was superior to the JBL, Memory settings with adjustable seats, mirrors, and pedals for Driver 1 and 2 (great for weekend driver vs. daily driver use), Autodimming mirror, compass, and Homelink vs. Homelink only

Great styling, smooth ride - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Tadow92 - February 15 - 10:00 amMy wife and I first looked at the Muranos for their style, but were sold on the ride and comfort. We looked at the Highlander & Endeavour but were impressed with the Muranos "smoothness". I doesnt "feel" like Im driving an SUV. We would def. recommend a Murano to someone looking to buy an SUV that doesnt drive or ride like one.

One Impressive Hybrid - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Russsnvic - January 31 - 2:00 amWe purchased the zMurano after test driving the MDX,Pathfinder, Envoy, and the Mercedes SUV.Hands down the Murano excelled in comfort, space, and overall performance. The Price was right, but would have paid much more for this beauty.

Best Buy - 2003 Nissan Murano
By KrisKringle - January 31 - 2:00 amWith a quality equal or superior to SUVs that cost thousands of dollars more, this one of kind vehicle is definately a best buy. Great package includes unique styling, awsome powertrain and comfortable interior. Nissan/Infiniti is building some of the best looking vehicles on the road today and have shown that a SUV doesnt have to be some square box with a hard ride.

The Future Becomes Todays Beautiful Rea - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Ebizdaddy - January 26 - 10:00 amIt didnt take me long to get this vehicle. I admit I was first impressed by its fresh, unique look when I first saw it in the fall of 2002. But boy, was I even more impressed when I test drove it. My wife was too, and she said that I deserved to have one. I love my wife! Very crisp to handle on the road complemented with a smooth but powerful ride. Acceleration is robust but gentle. I would say has luxurious space for average-sized people.

Loving It - 2003 Nissan Murano
By blackmuranochick - January 26 - 10:00 amIm loving my new Murano. Its Black and Black. Ive never liked a "thing" so much. Its still new to me, only 500 total miles, mostly city. My gas mileage isnt so good but Im hoping it gets better. Does one have to use Premium for best mileage? Still learning about all the extras... I bought this car over the Highlander and Pilot because I love its power and STYLE. I couldnt be happier. I almost feel guilty. Love the Car the Dealership (Sterling McCall - Stafford (Houston)) and my Salesman, Jerimiah, and the service.

Wonderful SUV - 2003 Nissan Murano
By htn123 - January 14 - 2:00 amWhen it first advertised, told the mrs to trade in her old Stanza and get the Murano. She did not like the style much. Convinced her to do so. Now everytime she drove it, she came home and said everyone comments on the murano and she loved it. The car is great, powerful yet easy to handle. My two kids 9, and 8 yrs old loved the roomy back seat and the storage has plenty of room for the 2 dogs we have. Been doing some fixing on the house and the folded chair is very handy for the 10 feet lumbers and trims. This one is a keeper.
