Model Overview:

The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

  • Awesome car! - 2009 Nissan Murano

Love my Murano! Had a Rogue, better gas mileage but rougher ride. Have 3 friends who bought one on my recommendation.

  • Cant Believe It!! - 2009 Nissan Murano

I drove Nissans (Datsuns) in the 1970s then quit - until this year. Totaled my Saturn Aura and got a Murano for short term rental. It is now a long term ownership proposition. This car has it all in looks, handling, ride, quality, and performance. VALUE!! That was the reason I bought the Saturn, but the Murano defines the word (please see dictionary). Had to wait 2 months to get my tinted bronze metallic (the color they use in all the sales ads on TV and print media) but well worth it. Most buyers are looking to drive off the lot and I feel exclusive in my color choice having yet to see another. Marital discord has thus arisen as my wife wants this car BAD!! Love @ 1st drive guaranteed!!

  • A fun car - 2003 Nissan Murano

Have had the Murano for 5 months. The dashboard has an annoying clicking sound and recently have been hearing some squeeking and crackling noises which are either coming from the suspenders or the shifting mechanism. will have it checked soon. The ride is smooth and stable. Milage is low for the gallon.

  • I will not sell my Murano - 2009 Nissan Murano

I am owning 2009 Murano for two months and I could not be happier with it. Well, I could - if it would consume a bit less but one should not expect too much (like those having back and leg problems who probably would not be satisfied in a private jet). After all it is an SUV/crossover and San Francisco is not nice to fuel economy. This is very comfortable car and to be honest I would rather be sitting in plushy seat of my Murano and cruise around than write this review. Lots of throttle response, classy interior and distinctive looks made my choice of a family car.

  • Excellent Vehicle - 2007 Nissan Murano

Have had our 2007 Murano for almost 3 1/2 years and have had 0 problems with it and have enjoyed it thoroughly during this time. It is fun to drive (for an SUV), handles exceptionally well, and has fairly good fuel economy for an SUV/crossover.

  • We love it! - 2005 Nissan Murano

Bought the car primarily for my wife. She is small, 5 feet, and always had to sit too close to the steering wheel to reach the pedals. This one has the adjustable pedals, and it is the first car she is completely happy with in all respects. Went for all the options, nav system, etc. Would highly recommend!

  • Best Looking SUV on the Road - 2003 Nissan Murano
    By -

We previously owned a Lexus RX300,which we loved, so when looking for a new vehicle,it had to be great. We looked at an Infinti FX35, compared it to the Nissan Murano, and we were sold on the Murano! We have been stopped by people almost every time we drive it! It is by far the best looking SUV on the road.

  • Will Never Again Buy A Nissan - 2003 Nissan Murano
    By -

Since purchase (Oct 4, 2003--new) the dealer has had the vehicle more than I have. The transmission has failed (had to be completely replaced) and it is now back at the dealer for "drive shaft problems." I cant begin to tell you how unhappy and dissatisfied I am.

  • I love my frog - 2003 Nissan Murano

Since purchasing my Murano I have enjoyed driving it much more than my Suburban. It is comfortable and I enjoy not having to feel the shifting.
