Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Fun car - 2010 Nissan Murano
By AMIR AQEEL - July 18 - 11:40 amI checked several crossover, name few audiq5, Lexus rx 350, Volvo and came back and got murano leawd. I had to make a decision with audiq5 and murano. Looking with similar options, it was 10 grand difference. I followed edumnds advice, as well as tmv. It was no brainer that murano had better finance option plus better interior except that Audi q5 had better panoramic roof. Any how I loved this vehicle and every single option makes it one of the best car buying experience.

New crossover - 2010 Nissan Murano
By ljm - July 17 - 7:00 pmPurchased the LE with Nav after comparing it to the Venza V6, Subaru V6 Limited, Volvo XC60, Cadillac SRX, and Hyundai Vera Cruz. I was impressed by the handling characteristics, ride, comfortable and quiet interior and fit and finish. Excellent front seat support and capacious rear seat. It handles well on the freeway as well as in town and has an eye catching style.

Guess I expected more - 2006 Nissan Murano
By dopplerdavetn - July 16 - 3:25 amBought this car March 2012 with 83,000 miles. It drives well, the fuel economy is nowhere near the reported numbers. So far, have had a problem with the fuel pump & gas gauge, have had to replace rocker arms on the front twice (extended warranty), replace a front engine mount (warranty) & have had to fix the power steering (dealer said its a common problem in that year Murano models). Also had to have wheel bearings replaced & replace the air blower (no air conditioning/heat at all). Very disappointed considering Id driven Toyotas for over 15 years & had been told many good things about the Murano in this general model year.

Nice Vehicle for the price - 2009 Nissan Murano
By JPendy - July 13 - 12:33 pmWe decided to get rid of our 2002 Chev. Trailblazer for something smaller and more economical. As we currently own a 2008 Altima, we decided to try the Murano out for a test drive and we were sold.

Decent outside, poor inside, high price - 2003 Nissan Murano
By David Kaiser - July 12 - 2:00 amIn person the Murano is a beauty. Inside is a different story. The seats are good but not great. The instrument thing on top of the steering wheel looks cheap and feels cheaper. The center dash looks like a glued on after thought. The plastics are OK but dull. There is huge "ledge" under the windshield. Think minivan inside. The V6 is powerful, the CVT strange but it really works. Power is very good from a stop or when passing. The suspension is decent, a little stiffer over bumps, but better than most SUVs. Steering is somewhat tight, but still feels strange. Brakes are good.

Nissan hits the nail on the head - 2003 Nissan Murano
By dennis - July 4 - 12:00 amMy Murano rides like a sports car and gets 19-20 mpg. Besides gawking drivers when I first bought it, now fellow Murano drivers give a heads up signal. Former Infinity and future Infinity owner-but love this car!

Murano - proof positive the Japs can make crap too. - 2005 Nissan Murano
By glastonbury - June 30 - 2:27 amI dont even know where to begin with my Murano, from the fuel dampeners, to the seals, to the intake manifold, to the throttle control plate. WTF, a dirty throttle control plate in a Murano will leave you dead and stranded. NEVER NEVER NEVER would a honda have these problems. CONSUMER REPORTS I am convinced has been rigged and bribed for recommending the MURANO, the biggest repair headache of all time.
