Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Smart Design - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Smart Design - September 4 - 10:33 amTest drove tons of SUVs and nothing compares to the Murano. The outside looks compact, but the inside is so smartly configured, my 65", 300 lb husband has no problem getting comfortable! Manuevers better than my previous sedan, however it does lack the zip my sedan had. But once you get going, power is not a problem. Interior is beautiful and the standard model includes some great features which makes the Murano a great value.

A super SUV to own & drive - 2006 Nissan Murano
By D MARTIN - August 30 - 7:30 pmThis truck is very fun to drive. The main reason why I purchased it was for the 5 star safety rating. Then the ride is very smooth and the power on the highway is great. It came with everything I wanted. I think the only thing that could be change is wood grain should be in all on the models.

easy - 2007 Nissan Murano
By casmpb - August 29 - 2:00 amLove everything except ride when going slow. This is smooth driving on highway but rough in city going under 30. The comfort of 4-5 adults and a large dog in back is amazing.

Stylish looks and good ride - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Uds - August 24 - 2:03 pmI have just had it for four days. The ride is good. Vehicle is stylish and has 18" wheels. Yet to determine MPG. Got it at $27K with premium pkg and other minuscule options. Wish there were more storage space in the front cabin. I like it and is worthy enough if you can bargain much. A major drawback is the blindspot. The window at the rear is a little too small and the rear seats obscure some view at the corner. Youll have to solely depend on the outside rear view mirror. Other than this and a little space, the auto is very good.

Love it - 2003 Nissan Murano
By camc - August 23 - 2:00 amI have had it only for about two weeks but its great. Im looking for any reason to get out and drive it. I also purchased the navigation system which is really pretty slick. Its has hotels, atms, airports and hundred of other preprogramed points of interest. The car ride is really nice. Only complaint I have is that the XM radio option that is advertised is not yet available.

Love The MO - 2003 Nissan Murano
By the canuck - August 18 - 2:00 amAn admitted Nissan devotee, the Murano has exceeded my expectations in all regards. As can be seen at freshalloy.com and nissanmurano.org, most new owners are extremely pleased and excited about the MO. The CVT coupled with the hp make for an outstanding level of performance for a vehicle of this type. With only a couple of minor exceptions (eg. sun visors), both the build quality and quality of materials appear to be typically Nissan -- excellent. If youre unsure about whether or not the exterior styling is "in" or not, just check out the photos of the new BMW X3. If that isnt a copy of the MO, I dont know what is.

6 months and still loving it! - 2009 Nissan Murano
By funneverends - August 13 - 3:03 pmThis is my first Nissan and my first SUV. I have been reading every review I could find and test driving all makes and models before I chose this one. It took me a year before I decided. I am still so happy every time I walk up to my SUV. It is so easy to drive. One of the best decisions that I have made.
