Overview & Reviews
The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.
New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

Fun SUV - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Lglgrl06 - March 19 - 4:33 amI purchased the 03 Murano in 2005. I really was unsure about the look of it. But, what made it a sure thing was when my husband 64" was comfortable in it. We drive it everywhere.

GOOD - 2005 Nissan Murano
By DNP - March 14 - 9:46 pmThe only bad thing I see so far is that if you have the rear windows down by themselves you get a sound that is like a loud rumbling noice. Very unbearable only goes away by opening the front windows. Poor design!!! Other then that I love this vehicle!!

A 60k car for 40k - 2016 Nissan Murano
By Matty M - March 10 - 6:29 amIm a 29 y/o male roughly 63" and 275 pounds. I was driving a Infiniti 35 before this car. I was looking for something a little bit more roomy, sporty looking and capable of holding my friends of similar stature. I saw the Murano and immediately loved the look of it. I know its a bold design but its flawless in my eyes. Its sporty, the interior is great (I have the arctic blue exterior with black leather interior) and I LOVE IT! I would caution anyone with kids not to get the S or SV as its cloth and dont get the cashmere because it is too light in color. I couldnt believe for the price I am paying the quality of the vehicle that Im driving. I believe that the car is comparable to a Infiniti Q70 which I was looking into but was way too expensive for me. It has a lot of the same qualities just not the big budget name. The car handles smoothly at all speeds (Ive gone 75 in it so far). Fuel efficeny has got me going 450 miles per tank. The viewing angles are great and the blind spot monitoring, 360 degree cameras, are very helpful as well. I believe that I am riding in style with this SUV with a lot of curb appeal. The cons of the SUV are few and far between but the USBS arent fast charging so that is unfortunate. The Nissan Connect doesnt allow any other apps except for Google Search so no Pandora, no I <3 Radio or others. (I hope they release an update for this). Also I dont like that I have to hit the lock button before the auto start on my remote. (I wake up at 4:30am for work and hate that it beeps and may wake the neighbors. (Again a small flaw but Im considerate). Again the car is fantastic and Im very happy with it. There are multiple tools to learn about the SUV. Overall Id give it a 4.7-4.8 rating out of 5. I hope if your serious that this review is worth your while. The pros definitly outway the cons.

Excellent Car!! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Julio S - March 8 - 2:00 amAfter doing my homework and testing driving the SUV I know there was no other SUV worth considering. Starting price $28,000 and when you compare it to other cars in its league they start at $34,000. Once you drive this SUV it is a no brainer that you should buy it!

As good as it gets - 2003 Nissan Murano
By vegasgal - March 8 - 2:00 amI only wish that there was a keyless entry and that the rear windows went down all the way (for the dogs!) We are loving the MURANO!

Pleased with my purchase - 2005 Nissan Murano
By Kuulie - March 2 - 3:53 pmI was in the market for an SUV style because I needed a more room...I discovered the Murano inadvertantly. The more I looked at it the more appealing it was to me...Id describe it as very comfortable to drive and it is easy to access...no stooping or climbing to get in...I am very happy with the colors I chose for the interior/exterior. The mileage is not too bad either...I have an 80 mi/day commute and I figured Id have to sacrifice a little bit in order to get what I wanted, but it really hasnt been too much of a sacrafice afterall. It is a sturdy and very reliable car and I would definately recommend it to anyone in need of room/comfort without the typical SUV/Truck automobile feel.
