Model Overview:

The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

I love it. It looks cool, its comfortable on long trips, & acceleration is great. A very smooth ride, thanks to the cvt, I never feel any jerky shift changes.

The Murano is great. At first I really didnt look at it. Then one day I looked and thought that really is a good looking suv, I then started liking it. I got on the internet and read nothing but good reviews. When I test drove it I fell in love so much I went to two other dealships just to drive it again. Well on my birthday I got me one and Im loving every minute of it. This thing rides like a luxary vehicle I was thinking of getting a Lexus RX330 the Murano is way better.

Great engine and handling. Rougher ride. Very poor interior build quality. Lots of creaking and cracking sounds on the bumps. Required a return trip to the dealer to fix the sounds.

This is our first midsize suv. This car is for my wife but I get a great joy driving it. Fuel economy is excellent in my opinion for the size motor and power. On a long trip I set cruise at different speeds for 1/2 hr at a time. 60 mph gave an average of 30 mpg while cruising on the back roads. At 80 mph on the interstate average mpg was 22.8. This will improve as the car gets broken in. Every thing about this car is excellent. It is very quite on the highway and comfortable for long trips. Safety in crash testing gave the Murano the highest rating of 9 midsize SUVs tested. Safety, looks, comfort, value, an unbeatable combination.

After testing several SUVs I found the Murano and Ford Edge at the top of the list. The Edge shows a nice screen with tons of options but after a test drive the Murano won over the Edge. More power, quiet transmission, more leg room on rear seats, very good radio. I use the Music Box to store my favorite songs. Rear visibility is not good, the rear view camera helps. At the end I bought the SL trim.

I purchased this vehicle a month before we moved out of state. The drive from San Diego to Vancouver, WA was very enjoyable. We live in a very rural area of WA and mostly drive along a winding river road. The Murano handles very well and I have never found a need for more power. Its a pleasure to drive. Ive owned it now for nine months and still love it every time I get in the car to drive, which is always a minimum of 30 minutes each way. I love the mountain drives where you never feel the transmission shift. Its not sluggish at all to me. I love it!

The Murano is an awesome vehicle. I compared it to the Lexus RX330 and feel this is the best choice. It is a very comfortable vehicle to drive and gives the driver a feeling of driving a very solid automobile. It is responsive in handling and a pure pleasure to drive. I am very satsified.
