Model Overview:

The Nissan Murano was one of the first midsize crossovers introduced in the United States and quickly became a popular alternative to more traditional SUVs thanks to its taut, carlike driving character and avant-garde styling. Later Nissan Muranos are notable for their higher-quality interiors, updated technology features and higher fuel economy ratings.

New or used, the Murano is definitely worth a look if you're on the hunt for a midsize crossover with seating for five. In reviews, our editors have generally praised this Nissan's sophisticated appearance, stylish and comfortable interior and strong acceleration. Middling cargo capacity and poor rearward visibility are our main complaints about the Nissan Murano. You'll find competing models that are better on one or both of these counts, but most won't match the Murano's combination of performance and style.

  • Very impressed. A real luxury suv. - 2016 Nissan Murano

Just leased about 2 weeks ago, but I have to say that I am real happy with my decision. I got the SL with the technology package and Im impressed with all the upgrades included in the suv that are included for less than $40k. Youll feel like you are driving a luxury car when riding this one. Im coming from a lease of the Ford Edge and I felt that it was a big upgrade, thinking mostly of all the features that are included in the Murano. The ride is just as smooth as the Edge, even though not as fast acceleration and a bit less cargo room, but nevertheless, the trade off is worthwhile. If you are looking for cross overs without the need for a 3rd row, Id recommend to at least take a look at the Murano.

Excellent vehicle. Styling is fresh and up to date. Plenty of power. Handles like a car. Good visibility. Controls all within easy reach. Plenty of power.

Ive had my Nissan Murano for a year. I was amazed at its performance. This car has a lot of spunk! Its unique design turns heads and its handling is excellent. You dont get the feeling that youre about to flip, like you do with some other SUVs. If youre looking for performance and a unique driving experience, this is an excellent choice!

  • Not bad, but certainly not great - 2004 Nissan Murano

The car will probably lasy a long time and give good service. It is a good looking piece. In side I feel comfortable. It has the same 2 ft deep dash as my last minivan. It has the same reflections in the windshield becaus os this too. Once you get it rolling, it performs well. That 3.5 is a sweet engine. The CVT costs you off the line. And the Economy that the CVT is supposed to give you just doeant happen. Overall a good car. But certainly not a great car. And it has problems that are PARTICULARLY irritating.

Test drove this SUV back in May of 2003 and loved the feel and acceleration. Nissan has done an excellent job, you could call this a work of art with muscle!

  • Lots of gizmo for the price - 2004 Nissan Murano

Fun SUV to drive. Very stable around corners and excellent brakes. Comes with so many features that Im still reading the manual. Drive uphill everyday and the CVT is smooooth. Love the HID lights. Added an aftermarket reverse censor to help with backing up. The gas/brake pedals are adjustable. Wish the steering wheel can move forward too.

MORE PLEASED THAN WHEN I BOUGHT IT.

We had to special order it to get everything we wanted. We got everything possible except the GPS and the DVD player. It took 4 months to get it. Which was one of the negative things about it. Once I got it, it has been great. Very confortable with lots of leg room. Plenty of power. We live in an area with high mountains and have no problems on steep grades. I would like to get better fuel economy but it is better than my last SUV. Much more like a luxury car than the usual SUV. Easier to drive. The two things I dont like about it: The doors do not automatically lock and the fuel gauge doesnt have an audible warning when you are getting low.

  • Best Suv - 2006 Nissan Murano

This car replaced my 2000 Lexius Rx300. The Lexus was a great car, but I like the Murano even better. I dont think the Lexus is worth $10,000 more, same price maybe I would have gone back to Lexus.Just completed a 3000 mile I95 trip down and back to Florida and got 23 mpg fully loaded and high speed. Unlike others I like the metal finishes on the inside. Gives a high tech and cool feeling. Great seats and I LOVE the rear camera.Holds a ton of stuff. 18 inch tires give the vehicle great height, but still easy to get in and out of and I am only 5.6.
