Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

Eye Catching Design - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Eli - December 9 - 2:00 amMy wife and I have had our eye on the Murano since we first got a glimpse of it last summer. We stopped by the dealership to check it out and fell in love with styling and performance of this "SUV". It has ample storage for her to tool around town with our 2 girls, and plenty of power to appeal to the sports car enthusiest like myself. I have a 2001 Maxima, but I find myself wanting to trade cars with her. Shell never let that happen. The list of standard features is generous and plenty of whorthwhile options to pick from. Another winner Nissan!

Former Pathfinder Owner - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Viper Rick - December 4 - 10:00 amThe TV ads gave me the impression that this was a much smaller vehicle.A visit to the dealer prompted a test drive that resulted in a purchase.Compared to my Pathfinder the Murano has more interior space. It has the power and handling of a performance car.The fit and finish is what I expected...EXCELLENT

My Rano - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Rcs - November 28 - 10:00 amWhen shopping for a new "ride" we happened upon the Murano. Talk about an eye catching magnet. After test driving the Murano, well the rest is history as it now has 12,000 miles on it after a little over 8 months. I love my Rono and my kids do as well. My son is in parent taught driving lessons therefore he gets to experience the handling of it as well and says Mom, this car (drive one and you will see why we call it a car) is awesome!!!! In driving home from the dealer I found on my way from the dealer the stability of handling was alot safer feeling. I love this SUV

sooooooooo nice - 2003 Nissan Murano
By soontoretire - October 28 - 2:00 amTook delivery of my polished pewter charcoal int. + all options except the entertainmente system on 2/28.Have logged a bit over 600 miles so far, combo of hiway and city, with an average MPG of 22.1 system calculated and manual. In that Im eligible to get on the social security wagon, its likely that my body has logged more miles than most who have an interest in the Murano design. However, this vehicle is by far the most comfortable and satisfying vehicle Ive driven in my lifetime.

A Cut Above All the Rest! - 2003 Nissan Murano
By eyzviolet - October 16 - 10:00 amEVERY SUV I looked at pretty much had the "tippy" syndrome. In inclimate weather, I dont want a car thats going feel tippy much less BE tippy. Just about all these SUVs looked the same, too. Now...the Murano....what an unbelievably sharp looking car!! Weve had it for a year, and it STILL turns heads!! As for room, my husband is 62" and can cross his legs in the back seat...and it fits in our garage beautifully!! Absolutely NO tippy!! Take a turn and it stays flat!! We love this car!!

Murano is Great - 2003 Nissan Murano
By TCN - October 16 - 10:00 amI have been driving the Murano for a month and really enjoy the ride and handling. Both are just perfect for the size and performance of the vehicle and the road conditions in southeast Michigan. I no longer even realize the non-shift operation of the CVT transmission, but it makes for very quick and smooth acceleration. In all, this is a great vehicle.

NISSAN MURANO - 2003 Nissan Murano
By BRIAN LEBLANC - October 16 - 10:00 amTHE SUV IS AWESOME, THE ALARM WENT OFF FOR THE TIRE PRESSURE AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER RIGHT AWAY TO KNOW THERE WAS A SCREW IN MY TIRE. AS WITH OTHER CARS I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN AND GOT A FLAT AND BEEN STUCK! BUT THEN AGAIN NISSAN ALWAYS BUILDS A GREAT CAR FOR YOUR MONEY.
