Overview & Reviews
Since the Maxima was updated last year and is scheduled for a redesign in 2004, there are no major changes in store for the family sedan in 2003. There's a Titanium Edition package available for the SE and side airbags are now standard on GLEs.
- Impressively powerful V6 engine, sports car moves, availability of premium features, plenty of room for five adults.
- High price, rough ride quality with SE suspension.

Maxima love. - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Jeff - May 23 - 2:14 amNo complaints except for the typical radio problems. Other then that I love this car, I have owned a few Nissan cars and trucks and this is bye far the best. Got my first Maxima 03 SE with 174,000 and its still like a new car. Love it. And not to mention only paid $1,800. Best deal ever.

Nice job, Nissan - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Hithere - May 22 - 10:00 amIve been wanting to get a Maxima ever since I read a review about the fantastic engine it has several years ago. I have not been disappointed. The powerplant in this car seems to be frustrated at my holding it back while it wants to burn rubber like a maniac. I bought practically the base model, it it has great standard features.

Nice Car // SE - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Rnelson108 - May 10 - 2:00 amI love this car. It is a blast to drive with 255HP and the sport suspension. The fit and finish is great. The only knocks against the car are the things that make it fun. It requires 92 Octane fuel (top 10 ratesd engine). The SE suspension can be little rough (all the more fun to salom between the manholes) The 17" wheels /tires can get a little dicey in the snow. I look for reasons to take the car out.

Outstanding car! - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By David4291 - April 29 - 10:00 amGorgeous car! Wickedly powerful, especially above 3000 rpm. Quiet, solid, well-handling; sized right for me.

Same Old Same Old - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By valtch - March 17 - 10:00 amAsked dealer not to give me firestone or bridgstone tires. it turned out that all my bridgstone tires were replaced by goodyear eagles. Car rides harder than any new car I have ever been in. It is extremely powerful but has horrible gas mileage. seats are comfortable. I have a bad back. Extras are an expensive ripoff. 2000 nissan maxima was a better car. these cars need independent rear suspension. Would I buy another maxima? not a chance. far over-priced for what you get.

2nd Maxima & the Best - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Tom Cuillier - February 25 - 10:00 amWe had our 1991 Maxima since it was new. Best car we ever owned, but this 03 is Awesome! Great Bose system, extremely fast, but docile & quiet during normal driving. Even Grandma is impressed with smooth luxurious ride, but when you press on the "fast" pedal, all hell breaks loose! This is a rocket. Handles like on rails, extremely roomy inside - even the back seat has a lot of leg room. I drove Mercedes, Volvo, BMW, & Lexus, before making my decision. This SE is a steal at the price and, performance-wise, will blow the doors off everything else I drove. Before buying anything else, drive a Maxima, your perfect car search will be over! This is a no-brainer.

By Nissan lover - February 7 - 2:00 amBefore buying an 03 Maxima, i had an 89 maxima- and i didnt have to think twice about which car to buy next. 2003 max - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By bremner44 - February 2 - 10:00 amIts powerful, stylish, has a lot of nice features, and is reliable. Best car for the money. The mistake people make is when they try to compare the Maxima with the Camary, Accord, Or Mitsubishi. It is in a higher class, a head above the previous mentioned. The only things I would change are: It needs a telescoping steering wheel,Im 65" and my seat is pushed all the way back. The steering wheel is to far away. Also, the exterior paint seems to chip easily.
