Overview & Reviews
Since the Maxima was updated last year and is scheduled for a redesign in 2004, there are no major changes in store for the family sedan in 2003. There's a Titanium Edition package available for the SE and side airbags are now standard on GLEs.
- Impressively powerful V6 engine, sports car moves, availability of premium features, plenty of room for five adults.
- High price, rough ride quality with SE suspension.

03 SE Glacier Pearl - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By giant56 - December 14 - 10:00 amThis is my third Max (previously owned 93 GXE and 98 SE). Love the Xenon headlamps, roominess, power and ammenities. I hope this vehicle is as dependable as the other Maxs I have owned. This is the main reason I checked out the Maxima a third time.

Sweeeet -Maximas are chick magnets too - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By PW - November 1 - 10:00 amTrue story, I recently purchasd my Maxima SE, Silver on Frost (light gray), very beautiful car. I stop by a light and heared a horn. i took a look around and there were two ladies eyeing my car. I waved and turned around, then they honked their horn again, I looked again and they were asking for my number. Being recently engaged and all I had to do the right thing, smile, say sorry I cant and move on. I cant believe cars can be chick magnets (thought it was only in movies). My last Acura 1.6 el didnt work this kind of magic for me.

an aging athlete - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By curtis - October 27 - 2:10 pmMy Nissan Maxima is a great car and has not given me any trouble it is a class act with unusual style, power and beauty, the Maxima seems more like an exotic with its hidden headlights and so many Maxima enthusiasts i.e. Maxima.org that bread and butter sedans like Camry and Accord dont have, not to mention the 350z engine for top of the line poerformance.

03SE Ti Goes Like Stink! - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Maxim(a)Serj - October 5 - 2:23 amThis car has been a lovely companion. The interior materials sing of quality and despite some cheaper parts (no true aluminum inserts) I find myself criticizing other cars interiors for not being as good. The Car will Surge and accelerate like a Bat from Hades all the way past 120 (even in the auto!) and if you can be gentle on the pedal; MPG can go from 26-32MPG (use premium for best results) The rear headroom is a bit tight for 6+ footers; thus the 9 on interior. I also downmarked the performance only because stock handling is harsh with too much lean. Selectable shocks and Performance swaybar WILL solve this. The Interior is also too noisy for me(prolly the Michelin Pilots I put on)anymore

The Best Car Out Under $30K - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By BIGGRUSS - September 30 - 2:00 amThis is the best car I have ever owned. I recently traded in my 2000 Camry Le V6 for the 03 Maxima SE. This car screams personality and wants to be driven hard. The V6 in this car deserves every award that it gets. At about 3500 RPM the engine propels the car like a rocket. The handling in this car is indisputed and merging into traffic is a joy coming from the Camry. Do not believe all of the hype about the Altima. Not saying that it is not a good car but the Maxima is a step above. The interior when comparing the two speaks for itself. This is an excellent car with a alot of features that just wants to please the driver.

By hbcarkook - September 14 - 10:00 amI peeled the cheap lloking MAXIMA ans 3.5 SE chrome stickers off and added a billet grille.... It now looks great. Will add wood dash kit and poly suspension bushings for stiffer cornering.

2003 Maxima 6M - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By Max Spn - August 7 - 10:00 amI boght this vehicle about 2 weeks ago. It was probobly the best decision Ive ever made. Ive got it for 25.6K, fully loaded. The dealer was trying to get rid of it to make room for the 2004s. Its fun to drive. Acceleration is terrific. Ive hit 85 easy without even knowing it. Performance is great the 6 speed manual trans. There is however a slight annoying tap with the engine. Mechanic cant seem to figure out what is making that noise. With the Bose stereo on, I dont even notice it, but it is still in the back of my mind.

My Maxima is GREAT! - 2003 Nissan Maxima
By 2 P CHEE - July 27 - 10:00 amI LOVE this car! Im an Acura girl at heart, but feel I made a great choice in the Maxima SE. I love the get up and go and my Xenon headlights. Im trying to adapt to the turning radius-- kind of makes me want to check out that 2004 Acura TL. Overall this car is fabulous for the price!!!
