The Maxima has been fully redesigned for 2004. It now rides on the same underpinnings as the well-received Nissan Altima. This year's Maxima is longer, wider and more powerful than the previous version.

  Nissans 2004 Maxima is powerful yet easy to handle. It has many features that make drinving it a pure driving pleasure, not the least of which is the navigation system. On dash controls for the radio are very convenient, however limited to the stations set in its memory. The heated steering wheel is a plus as well as the foldup side mirrors. Overall a great car and an A+++ in my book.

  This car is amazing. Super quiet, super smooth, super fast. I have people stop me and say how much they love my car. Its so comfortable to drive too

  This is an awesome ride!! We have owned two Altimas (1995 and 1999) and have an Xterra(2000,4x4), and while we have loved the others, this one takes the cake!! I have the Driver Preferred package on a silver SE with black leather interior and power sunroof. Boy, does this car turn heads?! I am 34 years old and I feel like a teen when I drive this. The Bose system is superb. My 11 year old has called dibs on it when she turns 16 already. Thank you Nissan! Quality, safety, and awesome styling for less than $32K!!

  My Maxima is fun to drive, although the engine is not as smooth as could be in slow, stop-and-go traffic. But there is plenty of power to get easily on/off highway ramps. The ride is excellent at speeds above 35 and you really have to watch it to stay below the speed limit on the open road. You get what you would expect with pot holes and speed bumps, considering the 18-inch tires! So avoid the bumps or slow WAY down. Overall, I love my car and still feel like the sporty one on the road, despite my three kids in the back seat!

  The Maxima is one outstanding vehicle. Its performance, features, and styling rank it as one of the smoothest cars Ive ever driven. They also cause my 18 year old daughter to comment on this hot car as being the coolest in town. This is a machine that spans the generations.

  Owned 85, 95, 97, 2000 Maximas but this is the best. Roomy, luxurious, powerful. Great features.

  The 2004 max is equipped with a very strong motor and at time is a very fun car to drive however the interior lack the comforter or style. The exterior was the most disappointing the overall workmenship that was in the past a high quality of nissan somehow change not for the good.

  After reading the bad reviews, I had to weigh in on how pleased I am with my Maxima. Im the original owner and have 112,000 miles on it. It has been the perfect car. Ive had great reliability, smooth ride, excellent gas mileage and comfortable interior. I love my heated seats, excellent sound system, roomy interior and large truck. This car has not disappointed me and Im sure Ill be looking to Nissan for my next car!

  You cannot get a better combination of performance/styling, practicality, and price than the 2004 Maxima. I have put my first 4,000 miles on my Maxima without a single complaint. Its fun and fast and turns heads around town but is also practical enough to haul the wife, kids, and dogs around the Lone Star State with room to spare.

  I got this car when it first came out and it is awesome. I have the car fully loaded with navigation. This car is worth the money and it drives like a dream.
