Overview & Reviews
The Maxima has been fully redesigned for 2004. It now rides on the same underpinnings as the well-received Nissan Altima. This year's Maxima is longer, wider and more powerful than the previous version.
- Roomy interior, lots of upscale options, sweet V6, available with a manual transmission.
- Some small, oddly arranged controls.

Best bang for your buck - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By levedis - July 21 - 2:00 amWhy go for a bland camry when for the same money get more. Its extremely roomy and can fit 5 comforably. Its sleek styling is only going to want to make automakers copy it.

The best Max ever - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Testoni - July 21 - 2:00 amThis is my 3rd Maxima (had a 97 and a 01), and Nissan has done a great job overall. Even though the Maxima is based on the new Altima, there is a substatial difference in the driving feel, giving the Maxima a more "upscale" feel (my wife has the Altima).

Eye Catcher - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Reddingben - July 21 - 2:00 amThis is the second, and best, Maxima that I have owned. It looks good moving or parked. The interior is quiet and comfortable, but there is a throaty sound to the acceleration that is very satisfying to the ear. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Traded my Benz, best move I ever made - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Quincy - July 4 - 10:00 amMy wife liked my car so much (04 6spd SE) and she hated her 01 MB C240, the Benz was in the shop once every 45 days and we only had it 10 months. we had the loaner just as much as our car. The service at the Benz dealership was awful as well. Finally, we had enough, she said why dont I just get a maxima too, fine with me, she likes a soft smooth ride so she went for the 04 SL auto, hasnt complained since.

FUN-TASTIC - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Omar - June 26 - 10:00 amI just love this car so much. Great exterior looks at every angle. The interior is equal to a much more expensive luxury car. I have the driver preferred option package with all the bells and whistles except the navi. Im really impressed!

Car is outstanding - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By seagrasman - June 26 - 10:00 amI bought an SE with Elite pkge, VDC & sunroof. I love this car! The engine is smooth and powerful. The navigation is a blast, and the fit and finish is excellent. At first I wasnt sure I liked the new style, but when I saw it up close it looked great. The rear spoiler adds to the look. The interior looks better with the navigation than with the standard message screen.

Lannys review - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Lanny Phelps - June 9 - 2:00 amNissan keeps building better maximas. The 2004 is the ultimate driving machine. I know it will not let me down. The styling is great, inside and outside. For the price, the maxima is always the best buy. The quality is un- matched. Thank you, Nissan.
