This Year's Model Updates:

Since the Maxima was updated last year and is scheduled for a redesign in 2004, there are no major changes in store for the family sedan in 2003. There's a Titanium Edition package available for the SE and side airbags are now standard on GLEs.

Pros:
  • Impressively powerful V6 engine, sports car moves, availability of premium features, plenty of room for five adults.
Cons:
  • High price, rough ride quality with SE suspension.

Coach work very poor Door gasketing an after thought Power steering turning radius too large Rides hard crowded interior very overpriced for the quality A pre priced car Windows shake when half opened Body makes creeking noise when going slowly over pavement.

  • Best under $30 sports sedan - 2003 Nissan Maxima

Lets face it - there is no other sports sedan of this caliber under $30K. Nissan tried it with the Altima and that thing is sooo cheap its scary. The only real downside is that it has more power than the handling permits - you need to toss the tires right away as a start.

I purchased my Maxima in 2002 as it was the last year before they changed the style. It has been very easy to drive and I have really enjoyed it. Plus it is several thousand dollars less than its cousin the Infiniti!!

This a very fun car to drive with good power and acceleration. The exterior design is very stylish and sporty. The ride is very quiet and smooth (although if you have the SE you will feel the bumps). This is not a luxury car by any stretch and it does have a few flaws, but all in all is a good car.

This is the best sedan on the market right now, and has been the best sedan on the market for the last three or four years. The engine, drivetrain, and suspension make this the easiest and most painless buy in the automotive world. I would pay even more than I actually did for a Maxima.

The car is fun to drive. Great exterior look. Husband and Wife are 43years old and are over 280Lbs. and we have the room of a full size car. Handles great. Drove SUV before we got Maxima and do not miss the SUV. Kids like it too. Will pass car on to son in 2 to 3 years.

Its a great sedan for those who like to drive - and yet have to consider the logistics related to hauling kids, etc. around town. Looking forward to keeping it for awhile - and expect Ill get my moneys worth out of it.
