This Year's Model Updates:

Since the Maxima was updated last year and is scheduled for a redesign in 2004, there are no major changes in store for the family sedan in 2003. There's a Titanium Edition package available for the SE and side airbags are now standard on GLEs.

Pros:
  • Impressively powerful V6 engine, sports car moves, availability of premium features, plenty of room for five adults.
Cons:
  • High price, rough ride quality with SE suspension.

I love this car! Its great fun to drive, very comfortable. Looks fantastic in Sheer Silver!! More than one person thought it was a Mercedes, including a friend who has one. Its a blast smoking away those hoity toity Benz and Beemer suckers. Had a 99 Maxima, 03 is totally different car.

Fun car to drive. Alot of power even with the automatic verison. Gas mileage is far less than desireable, but the need for speed contributes handsomely to this driver contributed problem.

Bot a 03 GLE. Felt great to ride until I heard terrible knocking sounds on every bump second day of driving. Dealer says the Rear Shocks are defective and requires replacement. Very disappointed!!!!:( For the money I am paying, I have spent more time at the dealer than in the car. I dono if I have a lemon in my hand. I expect Quality from Nissan and If I am not getting it for the price I paid, I should probably sue them. Should I demand the car to be replaced??

Best car I have owned to date. The performance is the strong suit, great value at the time as well. Looks sharp, plenty of room and comfort. Only complaint - battery died at 8,000 miles, Nissan replaced, no problem. One recall, fixed no problem. Tire wear a bit excessive, does anyone really need $200 tires. Is a horse, get in and hold on. You will never accept less in terms of performance.

This is a true sleeper. Step on the gas and it just goes. For a family sedan, its a fun car to drive. Just the right mix of performance and luxury. Some complain of the rough ride, check the PSI on the tires. Mine were at 44 when delivered. I lowered to the recommended 32 and its a world of difference.

We live in fear since buyng ths vehichle. We were not told that the headlights ,which cost $2000 apiece were being stolen in droves. You replace them they get stolen. Great car if you live in it and never leave it anyplace unattended

The is an awesome car!! I think Nissan nailed it! It has the looks, power, luxury & it sooo fun to drive & this makes it better than the competition. 80k miles and only requires regular maintence. It has the quality & reliability that rivals that best. This car is truly in a class of its own. Would definitely buy again.

BOUGHT MY 2003 SE A WEEK AGO. LOVE IT SO FAR. GOT THE BASE SE WITH SUNROOF, FLOOR MATS, CARGO MAT AND SPLASH GUARDS. HAD EVERYTHING ELSE THAT I WANTED STANDARD. THIS CAR IS THE BEST IN ITS CLASS FOR POWER AND OPTIONS. CONSIDERED THE 2003 ACCORD BUT THEN THE PICTURES CAME OUT. WHAT THE **** WAS HONDA THINKING???? I KNOW I MADE A GOOD CHOICE. LIKED THE MAXIMA OVER THE ACCORD, CAMRY, PASSAT.
